June Bounty Hunter: John Hindhaugh Le Mans Challenge

This seems like an easy rivals, unlike last month. 6 laps spent, and got a 4:00.7xx clean after running 3:59.0 dirty for 3 laps straight due to slight mistakes towards the end of the lap. Now the wait until July when this rivals event ends.

Most top drivers have no need for credits anymore. A cash prize is kind of insulting.

There’s an odd discrepancy between the WIR info and the in-game. Is the bottom percentile 50% or 75%?

Beat my previous best by half a second on my first try this morning and then found another 4 tenths soon after. Current out lap PB 4:06.773……

Found another half second, new PB is 4:06.267
I know where I can improve so should be able to get into the 5’s but I’m getting near my threshold I think…

Nice run! I’m going to use you as my ghost if you don’t mind. :face_with_tongue:

Not a phrase I hear often, LoL! I actually managed a new PB of 4:05.444 yesterday but didn’t post because I ran a (very unlucky) dirty 4:04.4xx before that & I was trying to match it. Couldn’t get close though so I think that’s my perfect one off lap if I get everything right…

Managed a new out lap PB this afternoon - 4:04.923 tbh much quicker than I thought possible (for me) when I started at around 4:15.xxx

I don’t know how many of the times posted here are out laps, doesn’t seem to be that many have been specified, it got me wondering though how fast an ‘alien’ would be on their out lap??

I am using you for my ghost. I am a fair amount a head of you until the first chicane on the long straight away, then you make up a little time on me. The second chicane you make up a lot of time. The 90 degree right we are about even. Then the 90 degree left you make up a little time (and pass me), the 90 degree right you make up a ton of time. I slowly make up time for the rest of the lap on you.

Personal best 4:06.646 standing start, I absolutely blew the last chicane before the finish line.

Better for us..

My 4:01.5 wasn’t an out lap, I think the fastest out lap I’ve done has been around 4:07, so #1 on the leaderboard could probably be there or thereabouts for getting under 4 mins for an out lap.

I plan to do an outlap to hopefully give a ghost for you to chase but my shoulder is playing up and you know, wheel.

Im only going to check those who specify its an outlap otherwise I would be trapped in the leaderboards forever. In the end, just think, Your outlap is faster than many peoples flying.

I just squeaked in a sub-4 minute time at 3:59.970 using the Huracan. Currently, the track limits here vary wildly:

  • T1, Dunlop & Ford chicanes you can place 4 wheels over the curb
  • Tertre Rouge & Mulsanne corner will only allow 2 wheels over the curb
  • Mulsanne straight chicanes will only allow 2 wheels over the white line, not the curb. If you touch the curb here you will likely be dirty.

I had noticed the weird track limits…I probably could rinse a bit of time out in the 1st chicane especially. But I’m at the low 4:03s so not feeling the need to spend any more time on it.

i did a 1s faster time on out lap for lambo than flying lap of ford gt.

Got my outlaw down to low 4:10, but that’s me backing up to the last turn to get a run at the starting line😁. I need to watch some of these sub 4 second laps to be in awe of how these people are mad nt the turns…

I hate tomatoes!

Managed to put in a 4:04.616 outlap in the #35 sls gt3.

My perfect lap would be in the 4:03s but I doubt I could pull it off in this century

I suppose a sub 4 minute lap is possible for the aliens, maybe DUST2DEATH will show us when his shoulder gets better.

Hoping to get some laps in later in the week. Which cars have been setting the best times? Haven’t had a chance to check. Looking forward to the event. Put in an ungodly amount of laps when it was the GT40 event without the chicanes.
