Jeep Wrangler does appear in Forza, although it’s only the standard 2-door model taken from the JK in which it’s just a normal off-roading SUV. The latest Jeep in Forza-verse currently is the Gladiator pickup.
Now, we would like to talk about the new-gen JL Wrangler because there is something VERY unique to it. Here is the all-new Wrangler Rubicon 392. Only offered for the 4-door Unlimited model.
It is powered by none other than the same 6.4 HEMI V8 (used in Grand Cherokee, Charger, Challenger, & 300C) producing 470HP and 637 Nm of Torque. It’s offered only in 8-speed Automatic. Was it a big secret that this new-gen Wrangler gets a V8? Definitely the first time ever for a Wrangler to have a V8 from the production factory. It’s not part of the SRT family technically because it doesn’t have SRT badges where the same thing goes to Cherokee Trackhawk.
It would be the most satisfying moment to see this in Horizon! Taking it through the Offroad lands, and dunes… gives a much more better impression to see it shine along the trails.
The Wrangler 4xe’s PHEV powertrain comprises a 2.0L l4 DOHC DI Turbo engine bolted to a 400v 17-kWh li-ion nickel manganese cobalt battery pack, two electric motors, engine-mounted motor generator unit, and ZF 8-speed AT. This powertrain delivers 375hp of power and 637Nm of torque with a range of an estimated 50MPGe and a range of 400 miles.
Taking advantage of this powertrain, the Wrangler 4xe features three modes of operation called E Select. You can either have the petrol engine do the talking, the electric motor, or both, but seriously, the electric part is what this offroader boasts the most for being silent because when in off-road-oriented Rubicon guise with Tru-Lok axles, 4:1 Rock-Track HD Full Time 4WD, and 4.10 rear axle ratio, it shows its true beauty of being a silent offroader.
Hmmm, any hopes for this Wrangler 392 to make it to next month’s AMERICAN Automotive? It should be challenging a duel against the Bronco Raptor, which is added recently in-game.
