I have zero idea how deeply the devs researched the automotive culture in Japan for FH6. I just wanted to point out source materials for additional references just in case. Fingers crossed.
Best Motoring, Hot Version, and Video Option are good sources of inspiration/information about Japanese car culture. They often include highly established local tuning brands for various cars such as Spoon Sports, J’s Racing, Seeker, Assist (BMW), Studie AG, etc. These tuning powerhouses also rely on aftermarket parts from other manufacturers like Origin Labs, Varis, HKS, etc. Well, even talking about it makes one realise how deep of a rabbit hole this is, and I’m probably only scratching the surface as a non-local.
I initially wanted to put this into suggestions to get DK Keiichi Tsuchiya on board because it’s Japan, the birthplace of drifting, and it would be a missed opportunity for the devs not to get him on board imo. But for this post, this is just a side note.
In terms of tuning and aftermarket things, I’d be glad to see in the game so tunable minicars and minitrucks. In real Japan there are some brands doing that thing, importing kits from european Companies and appling them to their vehicles. Here’s and example: italian APE kit applied on a Piaggio Porter NP6/NPE. If it were only possibile to make these vintage modifications in the game, it’d be fantastic. I linked an ad as it was the only one I could find.
Thats the concern. That they didn’t listen to the Japanese cartuning culture at all and that they did not bring this legend on board. They might want to stick to their “Forza” tuning and I would seriously hate this…
