Is there input lag on controller using usb cable with xbox???
Ive not noticed input lag with the controller connecting wirelessly so I would have thought with a cable there shouldnt be any.Somebody with more knowledge than me may be able to help, but I dont see any lag.
Shouldn’t be noticeable input lag either way.
Exactly.Thats what I thought.
i haven’t experienced input lag remember internet connection can cause input Lag i suggest not having to many devices connected to your WIFI witch can cause internet congestion witch can cause Lag high ping also the faster your internet is the less lag & Ping you will get but i understand it can get quite pricy depending on your region and currency inc Tax
Even wireless, the input lag should be almost non-existent. Frame timing is a larger factor and will increase perceived latency potentially.
What are you experiencing? Also what is your TV? Many TVs Input lag is terrible.
My TV not in game made is like 134ms, wirelessly the Xbox controller is like 5-7ish ms
elite controller is better and wired is ever better. Also turning off captures.
Can you show me any tests where the elite controller is shown to be better as far as latency?
@crazymike2289 , In direct answer to your question, lag using a wired controller. You shouldn’t be experiencing any lag with a wired controller. If you are, you need to look for the cause within your system. Possibly a problem with the controller first. A poor cable connection. Your game, are you playing through gamepass with a game that isn’t installed on your xbox? I ran into a serious lag problem with this scenario in FH5. Hope this gives you some directions to test.
Wireless controllers. Bluetooth has some minor amount of latency. But for the most part it is going to be undetectable to the HID (human interface device) that be the dude holding the controller. But for each personal environment there may be factors which can cause interference problems with the Bluetooth bandwidth and affect the latency. There’s a lot of “stuff” in that 2.4ghz world. And some homes have more “stuff” than others. So if you’re experiencing some lag with a wireless controller take a check around your home and tally up the Bluetooth devices that are active during the course of the day. These days this may even include your refrigerator, washer, and dryer, among other items. And don’t forget about Alexa, Siri, and Cortana too. They’re all rather obnoxious.
this is something. Ultimate Controller Comparison | Input lag, etc. (PS5, PS4, Xbox SX/Elite 2/One, eSwap Pro) (youtube.com)
Interesting video.Any lag I have with any of my controllers I cant notice, unless I play through cloud gaming then its a bit hit and miss.
I tend to look after my controllers, none of them have stick drift,I dont play with sticky or dirty hands, have liquid near them, chuck them about in frustration etc.I still use my one s controller, along side my Elite 2 and series x controller, which works as it did from new.
Look after your controllers,I dont play any games like COD or FPS shooters so maybe thats why ive never had stick drift issues. If I have drift on any of my controllers I havent noticed it.
