Turn 10 is located about 25 miles north of my hometown of Maple Valley, does anyone know if they are connected? Is the lead developer from there? This is something I’ve wondered since the first game and the thought was reignited with the release of Forza 7 and its reintroduction of this track.
No, it’s a fantasy track based in New England.
Is there a source to this? Everything I’ve seen simply says Maple Valley, United States, not an actual state or based location.
I’m sure there is but what it is I cannot recall now. I do know however that the setting is supposed to be New England, hence the covered bridge that they’ve now removed and replaced with some sort of monstrosity. As president of the Maple Valley Raceway Historical Society, I cannot say that I am in the least bit happy about it.

It’s more like Turn 10’s take on Gran Turimo’s Autumn Ring. Even in FM7 the trees seem to be made of cardboard. Disappointing.

Again with the trees? When I’m at Maple Valley, I’m usually too busy on the track to be worried about the local flora. Afterall, this is FM7, not Bird Watching Simulator 2018.
I do however miss the covered bridge that once embellished the track. In reference to the Maple Valley Raceway Historical Society, I would like to put my name forth for consideration of membership.

I think you have to be Number One on the Top Secret FM7 Hardcore Guitar Hero Controller Leaderboards to be considered for membership.
.
it is actually based on a real track
The older games said New Hampshire and it’s a good approximation of southern NH topography in fall.

I thought it was Vermont
As an area resident (no lie, my ride to the office looks like Maple Valley in places because my boss insists on having the office in the sticks), the windmills look more out of place added to the track.

Maple Valley Raceway
One of the most beautiful and enduring circuits in the Forza franchise, Maple Valley is a deceptively challenging course that has something to offer for racers, photographers, and drifters of every level. Set in the fictional woods of Maple Valley in New England, the course is a showcase of natural beauty and history—don’t miss the brand-new covered bridge, sure to become a hotspot for photographers looking to capture the perfect images of their Forza rides. For racers, the initial experience of the sweeping turns and gentle elevation changes provides an enjoyable place to build skills, but many of the course’s corners—particularly the downhill segments—will provide a true test of nerves as perfect braking and turn in are required to master them. The narrow course also has few places to pass, so racing strategy is paramount—pick your overtaking spot wisely. More than anything else, Maple Valley is one of the most fluid courses around, with a flow that results in a high average speed. That also makes the course, especially the short variant, perfect for drifting as well. Regardless of what you want to do on-track at Maple Valley, the stunning colors of the fall leaves are the perfect backdrop.

Thank you, I find that odd given a town of the same name is within walking distance of Turn10 and 5 miles from this town is the biggest raceway in WA.

If it were in WA it would be called: The People’s Raceway of Maple Valley.

Glad it’s back, it’s always been a favorite of mine.
