Is it worth buying Forza Horizon 3 on PC now?

Hi I wanted to ask if it is worth buying this game on pc because i hear alot of mixed opinions i have played the demo for about 2 hours and didn’t experience any crashes but still I would like to ask the PC players if the standard game playable?

Hi there! I play it on pc and I never crashed yet ( 70 hours ingame) so it’s fine for me. What are your PC specs? I am playing on a msi rx470, fullHD, ultra settings, (locked to 30 fps). 30 fps is not that bad, also there is a “smooth fps” option or something like that. It is possible to run it with 60fps settings but it is stuttering sometimes so I decided to play on 30fps. If you have a 2gb video card the game will say that you need more video memory. just ignore it, I played this game with the same specs but the 2gb card (r7 265) and it run well on medium settings( fullhd, 30fps).

So, Yes, It’s a lot better than before.(as I said, the game never crashed)

Game still has issues launching with priority for me, which is mainly why so many people have performance issues. Even with priority, performance is still underwhelming, Surfers and other towns still chugs your CPU more than it has any right to, so I can’t get locked 60fps in those places even with me i5 4590.

Is it playable though? maybe in 30fps?

You don’t want to play a racing game in 30 fps, believe me.

Or maybe he does. Some people can play games in 30FPS fine. Just because you can’t doesn’t mean others can’t.

I had a lot of crashing issues early on in the life of this game (grinding on Goliath was impossible), but they have fixed the majority of this with the updates. Running on an old i5 (4 years old) with GTX 1060, off a WD Black drive. Occasionally I will get a lock up in a menu (selecting cars) or when I first go out to drive, but that feels like a loading issue, never happens during a race/drive

Its playable, just maybe not as shiny as some games out there (still looks good to be, but I grew up on an Apple II, so everything looks better than that!)

I honestly thought it was worth buying the day it came out… I think I might have had a crash or two (I cannot honestly remember) but there was some frame drops at the beginning… That seems to be cleared up like 95-98% of the time. (I get one every once in awhile but I pretty much consider that to be pretty normal for any game.)

Damn, near my game of the year if not my game of the year. (I have more hours in Tom Clancy’s The Division but looking around it looks like I have a 191 hrs in Forza Horizon 3 which sounds about right.)

Hello there? Is it worth? After playing demo I dunno what to do next as a FH fan. Something is boring there. And you know what? I played already around 300h and that for me too small experience. Auction House is so lovely:D

Idk, it is still a big gamble whether or not you will have a good experience. I have an i7 6700k with 16gb 3000mhz ram and a gtx 1070. Some days the game is still completely unplayable and others it is decent. It has never been good for me though. I don’t have many crashes at all anymore but I still have severe issues with stutters. Even if I make sure to close everything I can in task manager including antivirus it is still a gamble for me. The best it gets for me is it only stutters a couple times a minute but the worst is stutters nearly nonstop. 30fps is also bad for me. It is fas more choppy at 30fps even with settings at the lowest then the 30fps of this game on xbox one. At that point it not only runs much smoother on xbox but looks better as well. If you don’t mind flipping the coin or at least have an xbox to play it on just in case it is a good game.

I have decided to make an update to this topic so after buying the game and playing like 7 hours I can say that although it does have a bit of fps drops in some areas it runs well and does not crash

Thanks for all the replies and helping me out here guys
