I’m good at that, but not drift zones.
I have managed to get 3 stars on all but one of the drift zones in Horizon 4, but I do not enjoy drifting at all.

You got me beat, think I’ve got 2 drift zones left. I’m at 99% on PR stunt GS.
I’m not tired of drifting. It’s not too hard either.
However I am pretty tired of all the Gymkhana/Ken Block stuff.

I don’t really give two turds about Gymkhana IRL either, not as impressive as people seem to think it is when these sequence videos show a car doing stunts with SO many tire marks on the ground you know every little bit of it was done in 10-30 different attempts. It’s like a record ‘hot lap’ in FM4 that you know used 103 rewinds to get there.
Those videos would only impress me if it were done in long sweeping shots with multiple ‘tricks’ on clearly fresh pavement.
His own documentary on the making of the next Gymkana video really shows what a grind/snoozefest the process is. They just sit around all day trying to get one ‘perfect’ shot of one drift around one corner. Much rather watch old grainy group B footage from the 70’s/80’s
They should rename ‘rewind’ in FH 4 to the ‘Ken Block’ button.

It still takes some good skill to get the stunts right. They do take multiple attempts to get a shot, but at least the guy is actually doing the stunts instead of having movie effects do most of it for him. I’m not trying to argue, just saying that there is some extra effort put into these things. I do agree with your point that it would be more impressive if the shots were clearly done in one take.

Funniest thing I have read here today
I can only drift when I do the drift story, when I try to drift outside the story it is like somebody put glue on my tyres. If they want us to drift they should give us a car from the story with a default setup that we don’t have to adjust. When I go into the garage, and find a drift car made by users it is gluey again. BMW FE Drift Boost setup to drift… doesn’t drift???

The problem is on your end then.
I have zero issues with drifting in freeroam.
Do you have any assists turned on?

I turn off traction, and turn on manual gears, and the car still doesn’t drift, and it’s a drift setup according to the users who gave the setup 5 stars. I can get 1 star but that’s about it. In the drift story I can drift none stop for miles.

Ratings of tunes don’t seem to mean anything, I’ve no idea what goes into them. I have tunes with wildly different numbers of downloads and uses that all have 1 star, even though I’m certain they are genuinely extremely good tunes. Maybe it’s the number of Likes? If I find a good tune by someone else, the last thing I’m going to do is Like it, as that might cause my competitors to use it! They can do their own testing/research!

I just click like on everything I use, my aim in life is to help people even if they get better than I am.

I used to think like that, then I realised that performance is relative not absolute, and making someone else faster actually makes me slower. Having said that, I still can’t help myself and do often help people, but I just can’t bring myself to Like a good tune. I’m not mean enough to Dislike it, but I imagine some people do that.

Rating tunes is just simply how popular that tune is comparing other tunes in that same car. For example Audi S1 my tune that have 3 star have over 20k compined downloads/uses/likes and my other one have 4,5 compined downloads/uses/likes and it’s 2 star so having 5 star tune in Audi S1 mean that car just have mutch more than 20k compined downloads/uses/likes. So that tune rating system is pretty useless.
@AquaPainter168 do you have formula drift cars?

Are those the ones you have to buy? Don’t have those, I can’t drift so buying those might just make me feel angry.

Strange.
Which BMW FE do you use? The M6 or the old M5?
Edit: If it’s the '13 BMW M6 FE, search for my username in-game and look for my S1 900 tune for this. IMO it’s pretty easy to drift with. But of course you do need to balance it with throttle, steering, braking etc. Give it a try.

Tried this drift, pretty good drift tune, the car does slide a lot, but was still 32000 away from 3 stars.

Well… I think now you just need to practice.
Learn to balance the throttle, and how to help change direction with help of e-brake and normal brake.

Yeah, I’ve been ill now for an hour, I don’t think I’m going back to it. I use Driver view that might be part of it.
