Iroc series survey questions

Good Evening All;
I’m continuing to work to get this IROC Series kicked off. In order to make it not only successful, but fun for all who race in it… I’m asking for opinions & input from everyone. Just so that you all understand who I am & in the case anyone is skeptical of my background/ maturity/ integrity… I’m an active duty U.S. Marine & combat veteran of multiple tours in Iraq & Afghanistan. I’m 36 years old, have been a Marine for 18 years & 7 months, I’m married & have a 15 year old son.

I suffer with combat related PTSD & playing Forza is more than a game to me… it is a form of distraction & therapy. Playing online isn’t that big of a deal for me as long as I’m off the mic… racing the BIGTIME MUSCLE NASCAR race the other day & actually talking with others was a HUGE deal for me & a step closer for me in not being so withdrawn. This IROC series will also be another healing process for me.

Now… enough of the emotions & crap… on to the questions… on to gathering INTEL on how to make the IROC Series a success!!! Details to follow:

  1. Is the IROC Series mandatory paint schemes & driver colors really that important to anyone or is it more of a burden?

  2. What night & time works best for you specifically?

  3. Would anyone be interested in having the series raced on multiple nights?

  4. Points system… important/ worth it or not? Would anyone even be interested in competing for a championship?

  5. Damage… yes or no?

  6. Length of race? How many laps?

  • I’ve decided NOT to have pit stops, tire wear, or fuel consumption because pit stops were not a part of the real IROC Racing Series.

** Base tunes are on my storefront (shared/ free) for anyone’s testing purposes & for feedback/ constructive criticism.

*** Very basic examples of IROC paint schemes are also shared on my storefront (free) just for opinions, feedback, etc…

**** I’m asking for feedback and any display of interest from the community-at-large to let me know what the level of interest is in the IROC Series.

Thanks in advance for any & all info!!!

First and foremost, I appreciate your service man. I’m glad we got to race together the other night and I’m really glad that it was a good experience for ya. Now, to answer the questions at hand.

  1. I agree with whoever mentioned it before to just have an official IROC series number plate and let the paint jobs be original to the driver from there. Seems like it’d just be easier.

  2. I personally don’t get on as often as others or as often as I’d like to. That being said, weekends are good and so are evenings as long as it isn’t too late. My job requires me to get up at the butt crack of dawn so I tend to hit the sheets pretty early.

  3. Multiple nights would could be cool. That may help some people get involved in it when they can’t make it just one specific night of the week.

  4. The points system would also be cool but could become difficult if people can’t make it multiple nights a week. To answer this question you need to know exactly what you’re going to do with the previous question.

  5. If you do run damage, only run limited damage.

  6. If it’s only one race per night, bump the laps up man. At least 10 or so in my opinion. I’d even be okay with 20 (the Ring being an exception lol).

Hope this helps. Hit me up if you want to chat about stuff/ideas for the series.

I also want to thank you for your service.

I’m open to paint schemes with a nameplate.

Sundays and Wednesdays work best for me. But not during the NASCAR race please. I’m in the pacific timezone btw.

Point system not important to me. Just in for the fun.

Limited damage with multiple short races, Otherwise, 20 - 30 minute (or longer) race with no damage.

Yes on multiple races.

Much thanks for your time and effort on this. Really looking forward to it.

I concur with J1m Billy and LazerRacer, I too am in the ( PST ) but work second shift during the week M - F, weekends are open

have a good-n

I would be interested in running

  1. Is the IROC Series mandatory paint schemes & driver colors really that important to anyone or is it more of a burden? I would vote for a mandatory number plate and then let the driver paint or not

  2. What night & time works best for you specifically? Any night other than Thursday or Saturday anytime weeknnd days

  3. Would anyone be interested in having the series raced on multiple nights? I am fine with 1 night a week

  4. Points system… important/ worth it or not? Would anyone even be interested in competing for a championship? I personally don’t care about points or a champion, good fun is enough for me

  5. Damage… yes or no? Yes limited

  6. Length of race? How many laps? Depends on the track, I would say find a balance that is about a 20-30 minute race and run 2 to 3 tracks a night
