This happened to me right now and I’m kinda mad. Partially because I have to play this abomination of a gamemode to get Horizon Superstar badge, but mostly because this dude wouldn’t be punished for this trick. The guy is [Mod Edit - do not name/shame others on the forums - MM], and he drives Lotus Elan on A-class Adventure. What happens is he gets into that hole and nobody can really do anything to him except for people that drive Lotus Elan or something smaller, which may be none on your team. I don’t think that this is ok, but I only found “Report for number plate” button (why would someone use it anyway?) and no “Report for exploiting/bug using” button, and I either didn’t search good enough or there is none. Browsing “Support” didn’t give me any tips on how to report a player, so I made this post. Sorry if that’s not the place where it should be.
Yes, it’s well know. No, it’s not an exploit, it’s part of the game. Has been discussed around here more than once.
It’s only an exploit if the devs didn’t intend for it to be possible. What makes you think the devs didn’t intend that gap to be used in that way? Everyone has the option of using that car, or a smaller car. You presumably picked a larger car because you feel it is better in other ways, that’s the choice you make.
And what makes you think they did intend to make it possible? If it makes their life easier than my team’s than it’s not fair and thus should not be in ranked matches.
Seeing as how the game works how they chose to program it, the default assumption has to be that it’s working as intended, otherwise you’d be asking whether all things that improve performance are an exploit, e.g. if one build of a car is faster than another at the same PI.
It’s no different to using the Monaco KC for rivals, for example. Personally I think it’s a bit sad, so I use something else and accept I won’t beat their time. So you have a choice to make if you don’t like people using small cars that give an advantage. You can use a small car yourself and compete on a level playing field, or just accept you’ll lose but be happy that there are more important things than winning.
Whats Bamboro?
Agree with OP, it’s an exploit, game has other exploits like this but devs don’t care bottom line.
This is how it work. You must accept this.
.
The fact that they put a bonus board in one of the small gaps that only a small car can get into proves that those gaps are intended.
I’m with breeminator here, its not an exploit, if anyone can do it, same thing as at railway station.
Game has much worse problems in form of hacks (speed and others), game CTDing, … not someone using smaller car and using environment to their advantage.

So you are saying that anyone can just take a small car and hide in that hole? And if in every ranked game some dude will be hiding there you will be ok with that? The whole point of ranked games is that everyone is in the same situation and the only difference between players is their skill. At least, that’s how it should be.
as a team it is your responsibility to select the right cars for the game. so one of the team should have a small car. very helpful also for another playground area
Yeah, game has been around for a year and a half, also meaning this too.
Also helps I don’t give a damn about PGG
PS
I did have same thing happen to me (both locations), on few of those rare moments of being in PGG, did I go apeshit about it, no. Just quit and checked which car can fit in there.
You shouldn’t care about someone using the environment to their advantage in a legit manner if you’re only bothered with the star card. If you care that much about this, just use of these small cars in Branburgh.
Yeah it isn’t cheating but at the same time only a certain type of person would use it knowingly.
When starting up FH4 or any other driving game has anyone’s 1st thought been ‘‘I can’t wait to sit in a confined space for several minutes’’?
Pretty much every map has difficult to reach areas/tight spots. I’ve seen people get right to the top of the quarry in S2 games by using the hill.
Things like a bollard/putting the map perimeter a little closer in could address these issues. I’m not sure why it hasn’t been done but it could be more complicated than my explanation. Like someone else said, make sure you pick the right cars for those maps with tight spaces in case the other team attempts this.
It’s not something to report, it’s something that needs fixing.
This isn’t an exploit. But it isn’t sportsman-like though.
If it bugs you enough, you can always report ‘unsporting behavior’ in Xbox Live and move on with your life.
First time I saw something like this happen was in Horizon 3. I think it was at the airfield. Somebody showed up in an Isetta and managed to get themselves into a tiny spot where noone else could tag them, and basically camped out there.
I think there’s a cooldown timer or something, that punishes you for sitting still too long. But aside from that, there’s not much stopping you from doing that in a few arenas, possibly going back as far as Horizon 2. Whether it’s intentional or not.
