Infinite Load Screen for Main Menu

As the title suggests, ive been trying to get on the game and have been on an infinite load screen with the driver walking towards the Porsche. I couldnt find a thread with this issue so i figured i would make a new one. So far i have tried the following to get it back working -

  • Closed the game and reopened after 30 minutes of being on the load screen
  • Closed the game, refreshed the home area and reloaded the game, only to wait another 20 minutes on the same load screen
  • Closed the game, refreshed home, powered console off and back on, been on the load screen for yet another 10 minutes

So far ive spent a little over an hour trying to fix the issue, I am on the Xbox One S 500gb, still have 79gb free.

Is there anyone else who is having or has had this issue? Thanks in advance

Update for this -

  • Pulled the power plug on the console after having the same issue on Dark Souls III, after powering back on the issue is now fixed. Seems like it was an issue with the software on the console and not the game itself.
