2 of the cars awarded in the current Challenge Hub with Update 15 are:
2016 Formula Drift #530 HSV Maloo Gen-F
1985 HDT VK Commodore Group A
The car list at forza.net/fmcars says these cars’ access/availability is “showroom all,” indicating that these cars can also be purchased any time from the in-game showroom using in-game credits (and I see them for sale in the showroom currently).
…But after winning these 2 cars from completing their Challenge Hub tasks, the game displays an “exclusive reward car” warning message when I go to sell them from my garage:
Can I safely sell these cars knowing that I can instantly repurchase them any time later from the showroom?
Or will these cars be removed from the showroom?
This message does not pop up when buying/selling the FD Maloo, so I’m going to tentatively say this message pops up for rewards from the Challenge Hub regardless of their true status, but I’ll double check.
I thought the same thing, but I don’t get that warning message when selling the 1988 McLaren #12 MP4/4 that I also won from the current Challenge Hub, and it’s also a non-exclusive showroom car.
…Scratch that: I do get that same warning message when selling the McLaren too.
(I had 2 of them, so I must have sold the one I already had when I didn’t get the warning - the one I already had didn’t come from the Challenge Hub.)
I’ve confirmed with the team that the message was a generic warning applied to Challenge Hub to cover the reward cars, and inadvertently covers Showroom cars that can be won through the Challenge Hub. The Formula Drift #530 Maloo is a permanent Showroom addition, so if you sell the one you won from the Challenge Hub you’ll be able to replace it using credits in the Showroom.
