In-race picture taking ...

I’m almost ashamed to ask this, but being new to the game, sometimes you just need to ask for a bit of help. How do I get into picture mode while in a race or rivals lap to snap action shots? I’ve paused races to pull up the menus but can’t find any picture mode or camera options anywhere. I know I’m just missing it somehow as I see others taking pics in-race all the time.

Anyone help me out here?

It’s like the second or third option from the left of the pause menu - ‘Photomode’.

Thanks. I’ll look for that. Are there any situations where that option does not show up? Or can it somehow be turned off somewhere? Reason I ask is that I’m usually pretty observant and a menu option like that should stand out clearly to me. Just wondering if somehow I may have inadvertently disabled it or something.

The absolutely only time it is disabled is during multiplayer racing - in which case you need to take photos using the ‘save replay’ feature. Otherwise, it is most definitely there during single player and Rivals modes.

You cannot take pictures while doing “Rivals” mode but what you can do is go to Free Play, setup how many cars/class you want to have in the race, then pause and shoot from there. Another option is to save a replay and that way you can rewind or fast forward to where you want to take your shot. A third option comes from the tuning menu. From there you would select Test Drive and that way you could go to any specific spot you want and snap your shot.

Hope this helps!

Gotcha. Thanks for the help. I’ll look for it again when I get home.

Also, when you watch any replay, you can select the Camera icon from the options in the “Pause/Play” menu and go straight into photo mode from your replay.

You can do this at the end of running laps in Rivals mode by choosing “Watch Replay,” but as it was mentioned before you can’t go directly into photo mode while you’re running laps in Rivals.
