Can you take photos while online?
No and the reason is when in single player photo mode pauses the game. Pausing the game won’t work online.

Thanks SatNiteEduardo, I did think it was something to do with the pause, shame though me and a few mates wanted to take a group shot, but no big deal.

lol that’s not an excuse. TDU had the online photomode option and that game was what 7 years old? They’re just lazy it’s simple as that.
Can you please explain how the TDU online photomode worked as I can not remember it.
If you were in an online race and wanted to take a photo what happened? Was it just a simple screenshot function that did not pause the race? If it did pause the race what happened to the other racers? Did they get a big lead on you because your car was parked while you took the photo?
your car beame a ghost when you paused for photomode, for the user the game froze in the background when you browsed the menu. then when you get back in the game it continued from where it left off. This also allowed for pretty sweet shots like this
I mean it doesn’t even need that feature. The game could just carry on like it is right now, they can tweak photomode so it doesn’t pause your game. It has absolutely nothing to do with syncing.
You can do what you want or drive to a location and park in online and just sit here. Then make a recording of your game play and in UPLOAD you can take still shots from your recording. This doesn’t allow you to use the actual in game photo mode though. That is reserved for SOLO.
I’m with Eduardo on this … how would stopping for 15-20 seconds in the middle of a race not affect your standing in the race compared to everyone else who keeps on driving? I’d need to hear an explanation of how that worked before seeing that as a viable option.
