Change Racing will return to IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition in 2017 with a significant new commercial partnership, a young full-season driver pairing and a strong endurance event driver line up.

The GTD Class campaign marks the second season of WeatherTech Championship competition for Change Racing, which built on a highly successful Lamborghini Super Trofeo program with its initial foray into IMSA in 2016. The team will continue to compete with the Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 platform in 2017.

As the result of an expanding partnership with Microsoft, Change Racing will carry branding from Forza Motorsport, the hugely popular and best-selling racing video game from Turn 10 Studios for Xbox consoles. The partnership will be supported by a range of marketing activations as well as featuring in-game content from Change Racing, including the ability for players to download the No. 16 Forza Motorsport/Orion/Monster Energy GTD car for in game play.

Seems more likely that it would be FM6 over FH3.

Though it wouldn’t surprise me if it came to FH3, seeing as all attention is on that now.

Given that the car’s livery clearly says Forza MOTORSPORT on the side, I would think it WILL certainly be in either FM6 or FM7 (or possibly both), but it could also be added to FH3.

I put it here because there’s no next game announced, and it seems a better fit for FM6 than FH3, but they didn’t specify the exact game so I don’t know it either.

A very special livery will be appearing at this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona race. The Change Racing team will be running its Lamborghini Huracàn GT3 in the GTD Class, featuring a Forza Motorsport livery designed by our own Ayo Jube! The duo of American Corey Lewis and Dutchman Jeroen Mul will share driving duties of the Change Racing Huracàn, which will see action at Daytona this season as part of the IMSA WeatherTech series, as well as at the Sebring 12 Hour, Watkins Glen 6 Hour, and Petit Le Mans. In addition, we’ll be bringing the liveried version of the Huracàn GT3 to Forza Horizon 3 in the future, so be on the lookout for that.

This year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona will take place on January 28 – 29.

Not quite as stupid as gifting a the #63 Hurcan GT3 with the new livery to players in FH3 who can’t use it because most people probably don’t have the DLC for it. Because no one was really told that DLC is available in the store…IT’s not in the Marketplace in the game, so…yeah…

Also, does this mean Turn10 isn’t gonna put the actual car in FH3? Like they said? If so, I’d like to think they couldn’t get the license…it would be ironic. (In reality though, Ghost is probably working on Horizon 4 right now and Turn 10 is gearing up for the Forza 7 “reveal” at E3.)

Many players already have a Huracan ST by winning the correct amount of liveries on the Super Trofeo tournament Turn 10 had going on a while back, although. I couldn’t find anywhere where it specifically states that this car will be available in Forza 6, though I can’t see why it wouldn’t be in this game.

I can’t see the sense in putting this type of racing car into the Horizon series instead of the series actually about this type of racing.

The ST is a different spec than GTD… I have 8 Huracan STs, and while they’re fun to drive, it’s rather difficult to homologate it into an organized series because it behaves quite differently than other GT cars. Having the GT3/GTD version would be a very welcomed addition to FM6, but it looks like we’re not going to see it despite the promises of not neglecting the game after FH3 hit the shelves.
