All cars have been rebuilt from ground up/remastered, so we probably won’t be able to do that.
Hahahaha where’d you hear that?
Older models as seen in the trailer, the Evo (Mitsu and Mercedes), S2000 and so many others, are carried over and (hopefully) polished from the old Forzas. Theoretically it might be possible, but I don’t think they will adopt the exact editor or integrate the desired option.
From the presentations like the Developer_Direct from January, hello? They’ve also said it on Forza Monthlies like millions of times! Don’t you watch them?
Granted I too am curious about the inquiry.
I’ve carried liveries forward across many series now, and changing models generally hasn’t stopped them from allowing it, but it has caused some of my liveries to no longer look right on the car, requiring adjustments to attempt to fix.
if developers can’t add export liverys from FM5 - FH5, they can export livery groupe.
xbox series have all support stuff by of xbox one, this is don’t xbox one and 360 where really you can’t export liverys from FM1 - FH1 where really have technology problems
Even if the car models are changed, you can still at least import livery groups for sure, then it will be a matter of reassembling those for the cars they have remodelled.
And 255 other jokes you will hear from Turn10
Where is that “Can’t tell if serious” meme when you need it?
That will not be true
My son informs me there are no modern F1 or Indycars … so won’t be using the livery editor now any way if true
Not remodeled.
Well, to the folks who replied to me, the rumors you say are true. Those cars do look like a copy and paste from previous Forza titles. Thanks for telling me. I was wrong the whole time.
We get no pleasure from telling you otherwise.
Well, the good news is that you can import liveries from prior Forza titles.
The bad news is that it only appears to be able to access about half of my FH5 liveries. Worse yet, it appears that the most recent ones are the ones it can’t get. I had gone through the process of reworking some of my earlier liveries in anticipation of moving them to the new game, but of course, those new implementations are among the liveries FM can’t see. At least one of the liveries appears to have come across corrupted. It used a lot of mask and semi-transparent layer effects, so I expect there is something off with their conversion algorithm.
I did not get more than a cursory look at the livery and vinyl editors in FM, since I only had a couple of hours to play, but it looks like there likely no significant improvements to the editors. In fact, the menus seem a bit clunkier than the ones from FM7. The lack of any improvement here strikes me as somewhat shocking and embarrassing, given the 6-year development cycle and the fact that competitors are arguably surpassing them in this area. Looks like still the same 3,000-layer-per-surface limitation, as well.
Can I ask if you (or anyone else reading this) can paint with the FM7 editor on the Series X console? I’m sure I read somewhere a while back that people weren’t able to access it (and it would help me decide whether or not to dob mine in when I go for the Series X ).
I also can’t access a bunch of liveries. They just don’t appear.
For example one Supra livery appears, another one from the same model doesn’t.
Vinyl groups ‘appear’ but none of them are transferable!
When I try I get that stupid pop up about 'too many vinyls saved…blablabla…
I’m trying to smuggle some vinyl groups through the designs that are transferable.
What a total mess. Almost a decade to get it right.
Well, I guess the good news is that it’s early days and we can hope that a lot of issues will be rectified.
I have no issues importing vinyl groups from previous games, but I feel like I don’t see all liveries. One thought I had is that maybe only shared liveries in previous titles are importable? I can’t check right now, and maybe it’s a stretch. I know that no previous titles have had that issue.
I’m on Xbox Series X.
