IAmHookEm Forza Horizon 5 Gallery

Hello all,

Been a very long time, but I finally got a Series S for Christmas and have only been playing for about an hour. Been doing Photo mode since way back in the day, really looking forward to getting back into it. Much harder now than when I last played 6 years and 3 kids ago . Hope y’all like the shots, glad to be back.

Still getting the hang of the new features, some I’m not a fan of (how do y’all get an instantaneous stop with the wheels turned? So far I’ve only seen the up on D-pad which takes a second and seems to straighten the wheels to a point that removes any turn from them…)

Either way, here are some more shots from yesterday.

As a Texan and long time pickup driver, I’ve been really pleased to see all the trucks in the game. I’ve been working on recreating some of the ranch trucks from around Texas, starting with a Four Sixes Ranch F450. Enjoy.

A huge ‘Thank You!’ to @AJ_MACAROO_V2 for helping me get the ability to have turned wheels back. Celebrated with a quick Land Rover shoot. Still enjoying photographing stock trucks and SUVs, they seem to work so well with the landscapes of this game.

One of my favorite photo exercises is looking for different angles, lighting, details, etc. when working from the same photo location. I think it’s important to always consider those when looking for a shot, and I try to take some time searching for unique options every time I stop the game. I also try to use the play between foreground and background items to give me the sense of speed I’m often looking for.

Hope y’all like the shots.

One of the reasons I think it’s important to practice looking for unique angles and shots is often times I’ll spend 15-20 minutes shooting a vehicle in a variety of locations and after I’m done I’ll go back through and look through what I got and will wind up with a pattern of over-reliance on a specific angle; in this case, a quartering left front shot dominated the Raptor shoot. I don’t dislike the images, but they’re a good reminder to not go for the same shot every time.

Ken Block and Subaru are what got me into rally in the early 2000s. Sad to know he’s gone, but it’s obvious he won’t be forgotten.

Last image is directly inspired by Larry Chen’s famous image from Pikes Peak:

Some more rally content from earlier today. Still trying to get a feel for the best locations to shoot different types of cars. Haven’t come across a perfect place yet… suggestions welcome!

Just now figured out there are full tracks designed as photo studios… This’ll change some things for me. First few shots from set locations. Very interesting!

Still playing around with some of the photo tracks. Fun!

Really enjoy the second shot here, passing a C6 going 150 MPH faster than it:

Some B&W, still trying to get the settings right for it. Don’t think I’ll be using a red paint again, may try it with green and blue to see if that makes a difference…
