I want to "Race You" not your car

If anybody is interested I will be online later tonight, but there will be restrictions. It will be R2 tuned stock Race cars only or R2 DTM up to 550HP 2400lbs. If you like this idea join and if you don’t that’s fine to, you don’t have to join the lobby. It doesn’t really matter to me what you do. I’m just getting tired of win hungry gamers leeching off slower drivers, they need to be racing their own level with similar lap times

Um… ok. I’m always down for a good race though… Down side is, my night job doesn’t get out till late and because of the nature of the work, the end time is variable to some degree. I will drop you a friend request later. Racing now with the ERT and the club puts on some excellent events with well defined car and class restrictions. I may not have pro level driving skills, but I love the game and a good race. What will your lobby be called?

R2 Racers

I’ll check for you guys when I log in. I have from whenever I can get home till about 12:30am eastern. If I’m able to join, I will be driving either a Nissan Calsonic or Honda Takata Dome.

I’d recommend using the DTMs over the JGTC cars. DTMs are much faster in a straight line and still handle exceptionally well. I’m going out to dinner with the lady friend tonight, but I can put together tunes for anyone who doesn’t have one, or a car if someone can’t afford it. Who knows, maybe the lobby will still be open when I get back.

Question… How can we run a DTM at 2400 lbs. if the heaviest one stock is 2,315 lbs.?

Up to 2,400lbs max, any higher than that the third level restrictors were removed witch adds weight and the car’s PI had to be dumbed down with heavier wheels. I had to pick a car class that was fast and handled well regardless if it’s built or stock. All R2 Race cars are eligible tuned stock.

Bulin, thank you for helping me to prove my point in a good way. For the life of me I can’t understand why, I’ve raced people as good as you that produce those lap times with the same stock car and still mess around using heavy rims and what not. What’s the point? Thank you for joining my lobby.

What’s the point, you ask? If I’m trying to get the fastest time possible, why not use the upgrades that allow for that? Why not use what the game has to offer to my advantage? The game doesn’t claim to be a full simulation racer, so everyone does what they can. I use heavy rims on my Astra for Alps not only to allow it to run more horsepower by lowering the PI, but that particular track actually sees a benefit from running increased momentum at the wheelbase. I don’t mean to sound blunt here, but if you don’t like how someone runs a car, it’s honestly just too bad because they’re going to do regardless of what anyone else thinks.

Hmmm the Honda Takata Dome is 2601 stock. Would this not be over the max weight?

I think that restriction is on the DTMs only.
