So I had issues syncing my cloud save so I erased my data from the console but kept the one on the cloud and I tried to re sync my cloud data back onto my Xbox but it just replaced my cloud save with all my stuff with a new save that has nothing on it. Also I contacted Xbox and they can’t recover my old save.

Which honestly makes no logical sense. Console saves are the “hard copy” and I understand why they’d be erased (just in case someone actually CAN hack a gamesave) but the cloud sync system literally has no workaround, which is the thing I’ve been trying to point out for ages. Yes, they may work with your profile when playing online, but that adds more nonsense to the entire picture. Online play should pull data from the hard copy on the console itself, upload it to the multiplayer servers and sync from there. If this is how I think one part of the cloud system works, it’s complete nonsense lol.
Also: PC players can hack the game because they can access the actual save itself. And if they know how to rehash and re-implement correctly, the cloud system serves no purpose as an “anti-cheat” system. Players are already getting banned for no reason and losing all of their Storefront stats in the process. Add that onto how players are losing game progress because their save was overwritten… we’ve got ourselves in quite a pickle here as players.

You can’t “hack” the game by backing up your saves. lol Backing up saves is for your own protection. I back my save folder up almost every time I exit the game. The game files themselves are protected and in a completely different place than your save files. If you ever did find a way to mess with them, I’m sure Windows would detect it and you wouldn’t be allowed to ever play again.
I was a level 223 at the sync glitch rest my save back to the beggning
level 223, if you thing that was bad, i was almost level 500 had over 420 cars, over 6 million credits, all bar 1 horizon edition cars and every time i try and sync it sends me back to the very beginning, what the f***k has caused this and no one seems to be doing anything about it as you cant directly get in touch with turn 10 or microsoft studios, and i was looking forward to the hot wheel as well.
Where did you last see your game save? Have you retraced your steps?

Forza Developers - surely you can offer some suggestions/advice to your customers rather than leaving them in the dark as to the real cause of this problem.
What’s going on guys? Are users guaranteed this won’t occur again - I’d hate to think we’re spending more time/money progressing through different levels of the game only to get pushed back to the start again. It would help that if the real cause is known - users should be notified.
Here’s my advice: Don’t shut down the game while the autosave icon is being displayed. That’s the little spinning icon that appears in the lower right corner of the screen. I’ve lost save data on other games because I didn’t pay attention to that autosave icon.
