I am new to tuning but love it so far… Spent 3 hours on a car yesterday… When I finished I bumped my car by 2 seconds… yes it is a big deal to me. It felt good…
Here is my question, I am on to my second car tune… An Alfa Romeo GTA … My question is No matter what I change on the car when I exit a turn my rear end of the car slips all over the place…
My entry into turns is clean, I do not slip at all during the turns, I hold a tight line, When I accelerate out I slip all over… I do not think its oversteer… I love how it handles going into a turn…
Clean into turn, Sliding out of turns…
I have all assists turned off except TCS… I am also using a Thrustmaster Wheel
Thanks for the help…
Need more info but it is oversteer. What are your tire widths, roll bars, springs, dampers, and differential?
Damn, not near the game atm… I see a lot of great post about you tuning Worm… Wish i had that info for you… I wasn’t sure if ther was a couple of things I could try to adjust to help with it… I will try and post more info later when I get home
I have been learning by reading post on the forums ( I see your info up there Thanks) and trial and error
If you want to PM it to me that is fine to but it is oversteer. Just a matter of what is causing it or what type of oversteer.
not to mention the fact that the GTA can be a bit of a pain with oversteer. As Worm stated we need more info to help you, or just pm Worm like he said. You’ll be in good hands there.
One of my tricks is to make your final drive a bit longer and shorten your gears to compensate. it will mess a little with your speed but not an extreme amount
Like Worm and Eagle said…need a bit more info about your current setup. If have a higher number (50+) on your Accel differential, it could be a simple fix by dropping that down. Other possibilities would be softer rear spring and/or softer rear ARB. Tire compound and width play a big factor in this too. As a general rule I go with as much width in the rear as possible first, then start bumping up the compound if needed.
since you dont know much about tuning you will not question my advice, try lowering the rear diff decel.
