Buy the Caterham Superlight R500. Then download an A class drag tune that brings the PI up to A800.

I got this achievement on the very first race I did. Because you are A class, you get quite a significant head start, and will leave S2 and X class cars at the start.

The first kind (that does not count) is where you drive into the parking garage and press Y to join an online free roam session.Having done that, you can drive down to the end of the long straight track where there is a blue icon that looks like a sprint race. This is where the drag race can be started. I did it this way half a dozen times, winning at least twice and did not get the challenge or the award car.

The second kind is the one that works. This is called a “Showdown”. I’m not sure how a “Showdown” is actually started, as I could see no control to initiate one… Only the conventional Online Freeroam or Online Adventure modes seem to be started by the player. It may simply be a cycling event that comes up every so often. Basically, you just sit in the parking garage until you see a message saying a showdown is starting and to press X (not Y) to join. Once this race starts, if you win it, the challenge will be satisfied and you will receive the award.

That is not the best way.

If an S1 Caterham is tuned correctly it will catch an A class Caterham.

Try a tune by MASHED or myself in S1.

Confirmed, downloaded a 5* S1 drag tune and passed the A class drivers about the half mile mark, won by a good second or so.

Chievo popped on returning to the car meet.

Only thing to worry about is the C and D class trolls and peeps who stick around with a superior tune after they’ve won the car.

If that happens, leave the meet and re-enter.

Currently, there is a bug that I experienced with doing Showdown at the Car meet (aside from the cars who start first always winning of course), is the fact that the people who stay at the start and do nothing somehow finish ahead of you, say if you come 1st in the race, the times would show you came 2nd even though you won. Anyone get that bug?

That is just lag, they are actually racing.

S1 Catterham all the way​:wink: plenty of decent tunings out there (ahem :point_up:Eduardo’s). Leave the race if any D or C class trolls are present. Jobs a goodun :+1:

Great tune but there was one that just kept coming passed me with a 1/3rd to go.
Not sure what he had under the bonnet (hood). ?.
Got the chievo tho. so thanks for that. As He let me win one after I requested it after about 6 runs.

Mine is tuned for manual with clutch or manual and no tcs.

No clutch and tcs slows it down and auto slows it down further.

I managed to do it first time using your tune with TCS and Stability Control off, but with automatic gears.

I tested it today because a friend told me they were beaten by another friend in another tune.

I tested the assist settings and the other tune.

My findings are that with no assists the tune i tried was about 0.2 slower.

With auto and tcs my tune slows down by a good 0.5 mainly due to the auto changing way too early and bogging down in 5th which i dont use with it.

So if people are struggling with auto at least go manual. You will just need to press b 3 times.

I’m a little irritated by the challenges as well. The first thing I did was the drag race, and thanks to SatNite and his tune it took me all of one try to win and get my Falcon. Next I went for the 50 near misses. Well no matter what I do I can’t get that to work. Is there a specific mode this needs to be done in? Does online free roam not work? I’ve done way more than the required 50.

I did it in single player. Not sure if thats a requirement.

do you need XB live gold to take part in the forzathon events? I don’t have gold and in the start menu forzathon and a few other features are shadowed out with a lock on them.i don’t think ive ever been banned from anything.if I need gold ill get but im a little late for the s14 and falcon,is there anyway I can get them in the auction house?

Yes, you need Gold for the Falcon at least at it is a multiplayer challenge. You may find a few on the AH, but they won’t be cheap.
