Win a Drag Race in an Extreme Track Toy. OK. Awesome. If you’re VIP, even better, since you get probably the most extreme track toy in the game as part of that pack.
Then you get to the strip. And people are using S1 GMC Syclones and Ford Broncos.

You do realize that, barring those drivers being completely inept, it’s going to take a herculean effort to find a lobby with conditions even conducive to allowing an Extreme Track Toy to win? Because, just like the Online Adventures where everyone has to drive their S2-class unguided missiles, everyone is just going to want to drive the trucks for an easy win. And because these races work on a staggered class launch, but the results aren’t tallied by class…well, you see where this is going.
There’s going to be a really thin window where everyone in it realizes they can win a car, hop into Track Toys, and do what they have to do. Then they’re going to jump back into their sleepers, and the rest of us who miss the window are either going to be hopelessly frustrated, or have to slave through race after race after race until the sleepers leave and that one totally clueless guy shows up with a D-class car.
This competition and achievement is…naive thinking, at best. And honestly, it’s just another example of video game developers believing that their player bases are open, independent thinkers when the truth is it’s a hive mind.
Yeah, noo. That’s one that isn’t going to be possible for a lot of people. Hopefully it gets changed like the recent one to win the event, to just participate in say 5 drag races.
It is a bracket race drag event, it should not be too hard to win a race if you put some effort in, download a tune off the storefront and switch to manual with clutch. I crushed the field in a C class 69 Charger that I did not even build to drag, it is still RWD, has a race roll bar in it, sport suspension, wider tires, some weight reduction, and I think maybe exhaust and diff.
Once the event starts just google search Tear up the Strip tune someone on here will post an almost guaranteed winning tune, download that tune do a handful of races and get your car.
I am not expecting this to be another RBW Triton event, which was borderline impossible. Unlike the 40 or so hours that event took me to squeak a win in, I am expecting to win the Falcon in 3 hours max.
How do we know there wont be a last minute change to make it so we just have to complete a drag race in an Extreme Track Toy? Like with the recent D class events, the original task was to win 5 infected or flag rush (forget which) events but in the end we just had to complete 5.
Is it? I trained a bit and finally managed 80k since I am terrible at drifting yesterday… What a waste of time lol
Also got Ultima 1020 drag tuned but its eaten alive by Some AWD S2s, Syclones and Darts, I got an S1 Project 7 built but not tested for drag to see if it will fare better… I guess I will just wait for the real requirements before wasting more time…
Doesn’t the game dies for some people on PC if the microphone is on? I haven’t even bothered digging out my headset because I don’t want to screw up mine that’s working beautifully, so I can’t talk to people =/
Note …this challenge must be done in a showdown race so you need to wait for it to appear and then press X to join
Also you do need xbox live gold to participate
I’ve been looking for that too.. only seems to put me in the car meet only to look at the others cars present. no more options for me(last time I checked)
