I cant figure this one out?

Maybe Im missing something here.
I have been running C class rivals on Road America.

Heres what I dont get,when I cross the finish line before the ghost car I beat the time always in the past. But on this track its not so.
I mean Im beating the ghost car by at least 2-3 seconds and when I cross the finish it says I am 2+ seconds behind. How is that possible. I mean my lines are better,im faster all the way round,I stay ahead of the ghost most all the time.

So am I missing something?
If it matters it is someone in my friends list.

This has happened to me a few times before, your rival will not start for a few seconds after you start. It’s glitch. You think you are doing really good but then realize you didn’t lol. I probably would have never caught this a long time ago if I wasn’t racing a 1st place time. I was about 1/4 of the track ahead of a 1st place time and I knew that couldn’t be right. When I crossed the line I was still 1 second slower then him.

A game glitch I assume…least I hope its not something intentional on a players part.

Well anyway to fix that issue? Or I just have to deal with it,never had it happen but its damn annoying thats for sure.

I concur with im2fast4u711, choose another rival. I’ve seen this before. I just choose another rival and everything appears fine. I always assumed there was an error in the rival’s save that was causing the problem.

I have no problem with picking another,just wondered if something else was going on…what I dont know,just wondered.
