How to unshare/remove designs after sharing them?

Added some bad designs and after fixing them and sharing again it made another design in the storefront. How do I delete the old version?

This can get a bit tricky because of the file names. Here’s what I would do.

  1. Unshare your second ‘good’ version (temporarily) and then re-name it to something different in your library. Make sure that this renamed version is ‘loaded’ onto the vehicle.
  2. Download your first ‘bad’ version from your Creative Hub.
  3. You should now have both versions in your library. Unshare your second ‘bad’ version that you just downloaded.
  4. Delete the second ‘bad’ version from your library.
  5. Rename your first ‘good’ version back to the original file name.
  6. Load it back on to the vehicle.
  7. Share the ‘good’ version again.

The reason I made note of renaming the files in a couple of steps … sometimes the game can get confused with multiple designs with the same name on the same car in your library and will not work with the version you want to work with or will make one of the versions uneditable as if someone else was the creator. Using the renaming steps I noted above should fix your issues without mixing up the files.

Note: If you know that you’re going to be making updates to a design you’ve already shared, try to remember to unshare it first before saving any changes to it in your library. Then you can just reshare the edited version when you’re done and will only have the current ‘good’ version shared.

So i found a way and it’s basically the same as this but for vinyls:

  1. So just go to apply vinyls and decals (where you select a car ant put vinyls on it).
  2. Press apply vinyl shape and go to curated groups section (where the vinyls that other people make are)
  3. Press search and enter your nickname in the Creator filter
  4. Now you see all the vinyls made by you that are public, Choose the one you want to unshare/delete and apply it to your car(this will download the vinyl into your vinyl files)
  5. Exit out of the design editor and go to your vinyl groups(the place you can load and edit your vinyls) and you should see the vinyl you downloaded from the browser.
  6. Select the vinyl you want to unshare/delete and unshare or delete it. This will make it so it’s no longer accessible trough search and your creative hub.

^What? You can’t unshare someone else’s photos.

You can unshare ‘your own’ photo certainly by going into the ‘photos shared’ menu under the creative hub in the game I think… then you can unshare / delete it from there. However, this is only for your own photos.

I know how to unshare tunes and designs, but there are vinyls on my creative hub that are public but are unshared in the vinyl files. How do I unshare the ones from my creative hub?

This happened to me the other day. I shared a design I didn’t want to and couldn’t select unshare. So I downloaded the bad design anyway and got it back in My Designs. Then I loaded a different design and I was able to unshare the bad one and delete it.
