Bit of a dumb question but how do i search for vinyl groups by keyword which other people have created in the Xbox 360 version? So far the only thing i have found is to go to the Paint Shop, select Vinyl Groups and then use RB to go across to ‘Search Results’. Then i can press Y and search for designs by price, layers and gamer-tag. There are also options to search by keywords but they are useless preset keywords like ‘Comedy’, ‘Horror’ and ‘Fantasy’. Is there any way to search for my own custom keywords, such as ‘JDM’ and ‘Civic’?
Bump. Any ideas how to do this?
Bump come on turn10
Bump!
I dont believe its possible to search by keyword. When you post a vinyl there is no place to enter a unique keyword. Only the built in ones like original and fantasy etc.
There is no way to do this except by the preloaded ones. Even vinyl search in Horizon 1 was severely gimped vs. what you could do in FM4. There are no plans as far as I know to provide any updates or support.

Thanks for the responses. I am shocked at how this feature has been pulled from the game, i really see no reason why they would do this. In the original Forza Horizon, searching by keyword was still there so i can’t understand why they would remove this feature on purpose from the new game.
If i had known that they would be taking such an essential feature out of the game i probably wouldn’t have bought it. I want to customise my cars with certain liveries and decals but i cannot locate the ones i want because there’s no search! For example if i wanted a Japspeed livery for my Skyline R32, i can’t just search ‘Japspeed’ and get the results instantly like in Horizon 1, nope instead i have to spend hours scrolling through the thousands of various liveries in the hope that someone has created the exact one i want!
Absolutely ridiculous, shame on you Turn 10/Sumo Studios!
Or you could just import from other games which the 360 version still has the ability to do. I will do some experimenting tonight but I think it’s best to go FM4>FH1>FH2 and have the vinyl in all 3.

That’s a pretty good idea, i didn’t think of that. It’s still completely stupid why we should even have to do that anyway, i don’t get why they would want to remove the search feature in the first place! But thanks though, i will use your idea as a workaround for the time being.
Hmm, i just spent a good half an hour buying a load of designs in Forza 4 ready to import into Horizon 1, but when i loaded up Horizon 1 it tells me that i cannot import the designs because they’re locked! So it’s probably not gonna work from Horizon 1 to Horizon 2 either. This method would only be useful if they were designs i had created myself which weren’t locked.
I agree. Not being able to search by keyword is lame.
It’s bs all the little things either not carried over from Horizon1 or xbone version. There’s dozens of little similar things like this that all add up and in the end, you realize the game falls short on every level.
