What system of measurements do you guys and galls prefer to tune tires/springs with?
English (PSI, LB/IN)
Metric (BAR, KGF/MM)
or do you just stick with the “Default” setting and tune away at your hearts content?

English, because I’m used to it.
Quick favor… I don’t have Forza on hand at the moment. Can you hop in one of the racing semi trucks (Volvo Iron Knight or Mercedes Tankpool) and tell me what the min and max spring rates are in both unit types? I’d like to make a version of these tables

with Forza’s metric units.
Interesting, I’ve used “Default” my entire time playing and just recently realized the game was showing “English” for tires, boost and horsepower, while other things like springs, weight and torque were being shown in “Metric” values. I find this mish-mash to work pretty well when tuning though and actually prefer it, but was also wondering if anyone else tunes like this as well?
I’ve also noticed when set specifically to “English”, the tires can only be tuned in 0.5 increments but using “Default” I can tune in 0.1 increments. Not sure if that’s just a bug though
Edit: also sent those measurements to your inbox
I’ve only ever tuned by 0.5 PSI. Where do you live? In North America, Default=English for everything.
Metric tire pressure should be in kPa, not bar. Same unit, different decimal place.
Yep, up in Canada, I think I know the reason though. My PC’s region and language are not the same, so using Default uses both Metric and English. It’s probably why I get more fine increments when tuning tires. It’s weird though that this is the only way to access 0.1 increments for PSI, kinda blows my mind thinking about all the people that have never known about this and could benefit from it.
If you or anyone who read’s this post wants to give it a try, change your region to Canada and regional format to English (United Kingdom). Can’t confirm if this works for Xbox though as I don’t own one.
Edit: not sure about seeing kPa but I do recall seeing Bar when playing FM7 set to Metric. This could be a result of the UK regional format though.
