Thought so HL, my original guess of 577 was based on that.
Still… I’m thinking an old school painter, who’s been so used to layer management over the years, isn’t going to use tons of extra layers just because he can… and 600 or so was usually my benchmark for a pretty detailed portrait…

@ Midnyte, I wanted to elaborate on layer usage. I draw out all my images and probably could have removed a fed hundred layers of line work by using the transparency on my fills. This process takes alot of time which I choose not to do.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who played the guessing game, I appreciate it!
