Hotfix - Profile Loading, Multiplayer Invites, Controller crash | May 18

For all of those getting error codes such as E:0-0 or E:0-19 in which the cloud save data is corrupted by either playing on Linux or Steam Deck (my case), I found a solution, although it is not “easy” because you need an Xbox and the game purchased on that platform.

My friend, who convinced me to buy the game, bought FH6 on Xbox so he had the game and the console. We did the following:
Disclaimer: I don’t own an Xbox (never owned one), so excuse me if I say something wrong about Xbox terminology in general.

  1. My friend created an account on his Xbox (not a Microsoft account) so that he could sign in with my info (email)
  2. He then proceeded to start the game with my account
  3. The error about a previous device trying to upload the save data popped up, and the options were:
    • Wait for the device to upload (which is the main cause of the error because that device, in my case, the Steam Deck, does not upload the save data)
    • Continue in offline mode. We selected this option
  4. He continued playing through all the intro until after the R32 race
  5. He closed the game, started it again, and still had the local save data
  6. Then, we were trying to find a way to upload the local savedata to the cloud, until he found an option to delete the savedata, quote “from this console” or “everywhere” (including the console)
  7. At this point, I took the risk to delete the savedata everywhere
  8. He deleted the data everywhere
  9. Then I went to open the game on my PC through Steam
  10. The error about the save data did not pop up (good sign)

After that, I’ve been playing the game and no issues (so far…). I closed the game and reopened it, and my progress was still there.

So… in short, have a good friend/relative who owns an Xbox and the game, and ask them to delete the save data:
It is important to mention that, as the option suggests, it WILL DELETE YOUR SAVE DATA, so ALL YOUR PROGRESS WILL BE GONE
Do not give access to your account to anyone unless you trust them.

  1. From the dashboard, highlight the game tile and press the menu button, then go to “Manage game and add-ons”
  2. Select “Saved Data” at the bottom
  3. Go to the individual saves, press the menu button, and select “Delete saved data”
  4. A window will then pop up asking to confirm if you want to delete it from just the console or from EVERYWHERE. Do it

Hope this helps someone here.
I’ll add updates if I encounter any problems.
