After Update 7 my game was the most stable it has been from launch. Finally things were running smoothly and it seemed like T10 were starting to get on top of things.
Now after the 7.1 hotfix its constantly crashing again.
Hopefully we see a hotfix for the hotfix today.
Yes it’s same thing for me. Doesn’t seem to be a widespread issue though.
Fairly sure it will be a widespread issue. I’ve seen multiple people complaining about it. Personally I’m getting disconnected every time I finish a rivals event and on various other occasions as well.
I also get a lot more crashes to the dashboard on Series X after 7.1.
Especially in MP after finishing practice/qualifying.
Getting more performance issues now as well since the 7.1 patch. 7 was really good, 7.1 rather not very good.
I wouldn’t hold my breath. Hotfixes haven’t been a regular occurrence since launch. I would suggest checking the bug section of the forums and voting for whatever issue you’re having, or opening a help ticket.
Same here. UK, series x, back-to-back lobbies crashed just as qualifying ended.
I’ve turned it off in a huff and decided to take the dog for a walk in the rain instead.
Mine has been crashing like Stevie Wonder driving in the Daytona 500.
Yeah, mine goes to dashboard often after I do one series Race, and when I go to the next series it goes back to dashboard there and, then.
Doubtful. Hopefully, they’ll roll something into the weekly update, but there’s no mention of anything on their support channel.
Im not having these issues at the moment, though early days with this latest patch.
I haven’t noticed an increase but one thing that’s been a problem since release is much higher rate of crashing for me if i use quick resume for the series x.
So if you’re doing that stop doing it for this game, hope it gets fixed for you soon.

Just had a crash to dash, came here to see if this was a new thing or just the old one. Still not sure. Can’t remember older Forzas doing this but it happens frequently on FM8, though it did occur on FH4 recently after spending hours making a vinyl, an almost ‘controller through the tv’ moment. I’m on Xbox Series X and have noticed that it requires shutdown/reboot/recycle far too often. Very rarely had such problems with X1 or X360.
I just downloaded another gig patch, hopefully the crashing will have stopped.
Ok. So, DLSS on PC should still work just fine. Fingers crossed… I just found some settings that allowed me to use RT and run NVidia sharpening, while still getting 90 - 115FPS. I don’t want to lose that, at all.

So now the game is completely broken… when trying to start a race in mp or sp the game will load but it’s stuck on your car in the garage. Restarting the game fixed it for two races and then the same thing… The few races I got into the FR was absolute garbage at 20fps usually runs over 80fps on my rig. I’m about done at this point…
