Horsepower in telemetry is it accurate?

I searched and couldn’t find this so hoping I can get an answer.

I have been goofing around on Bathurst class A because it is my ‘nemesis’ track, the track that stumps me the most but also one of my fave tracks.

Anyhow, I was looking at the top Ferrari GTO replays (they are also the top times Class A Bathurst) and in telemetry noticed that it looks like the top Ferrari/track times in rivals have well over 1000 HP. That seemed like it would be interesting to try, so I went back, reset the Ferrari GTO to default and started a new tune- with all the max engine mods ticked and the most robust turbo installed, I could never get it over ~700 HP even the highest class (S) for that car isn’t over ~650HP.

Now I feel like all these years I have been missing something and I am excited to know how folks are able to get above the max HP for a car. Excited because if telemetry is accurate and there is a way to get much more HP (VIA DLC or something I am missing) it will create an almost new tuning experience for me and that is pretty cool

Did I miss a DLC that allows me to have a whole new set of car mods? If it is just a bug or whatever that isn’t interesting to me but if I am missing a feature I’d love to try it.
Or is telemetry info wrong and I am excited about nothing?

Thanks in advance!!!

Is there an engine swap available for that car?

I didn’t find a single GTO in top 200. But I found bunch of 250 GT Berllinetta Lusso’ which is completely different car, and starts at D-400.

250 GTO’s start at B-528 And with all power added in tops put on A-665 and 600hp

250 GT Berlinetta Lusso does have engine swap 6.0 V12 (so called Enzo swap) and all power added it ends up in B-597 and making 1182hp

Attention to detail matters, you are of course correct thanks. I missed the Lusso. For some reason a lot of the cars on my “buy cars” and “my cars” only shows like half the car or the car is missing altogether in the box and the center screen. so on my screen it shows the LM, the GTO then the Lusso is missing and then the Testa Rossa shows and the mondial picture is also missing. So I wasn’t matching it up with what I was seeing on the track in replay- even though it did look different to me I wasn’t familiar enough with them to “get it”

Anyhow, thanks- not which bums me out more me being goofy enough to miss the difference or me being goofy enough to think I was going to somehow get new capabilities. I’ll go see what doing that Enzo swap does to an older car with that much HP. I really do like that GTO too.

The v 12 swap maxed out is near 1200hp I have it in my Aston Martin v8 vantage from the cbh it’ll run low 8s and I’m no means a great tuner but I take the time to figure out what works, it’s probably swapped to the v 12 and minimal mods if any at all elsewhere. I’ll check that out today.
