now im not one to complain but this has me a bit upset, i just won one of the new horizon editions and it says “your garage is full. you will be gifted 37,500 CR for this car instead.” and i hardly ever win the horizon edition, so i check the auction house and said horizon is selling at lowest i saw 300k. forza you could have atleast had it give the lowest auction bid of 200k if the garage is full so its less of dissapointment for the player, and im upset to learn theres a garage limit and i like all of my cars what am i to do when the next dlc comes out? why cant you just have our garage data saved on the xbox on
e its self instead of this poor cloud save system thats stabbed me in the back multiple times on forza 6, ive had to start over twice from corrupt cloud save data(yet to happen to me on horizon 3 yet but ive read many posts of people it has happend to) im slightly dissapointed with you guys, and i think the majority of the community will agree with my points. so that said still love the forza games just these issues bother me sometimes to a point where i feel i need to point it out P.S. please try not to make a complete hash of FM7. (-_-)/
Never allow your console to sync anything game-related. I don’t care if someone says there is a “proper way” to do it. Eventually, it will end up screwing something up.
Did you read the spring cleaning thread? I cut my garage from 490 down to 395 within the past two days. Essentially for no reason but mostly because I don’t feel like scrolling through hundreds of cars to get to the one I want to drive right then.
Unless it was a GT or Supra, it wouldn’t have much value on the Auction House anyway. (That as in if it would sell at all.)
And when you let it sync, you’re risking it being corrupted or overwritten completely because you’re relying on Microsoft servers to do the work. I have never had any game data corrupted when hitting cancel right as the dialog pops up. Whereas most of these issues the OP is speaking about arise only when the Cloud is allowed to sync data.
I miss the 360 days when I could back up saves on a USB. But NOOOOO can’t allow anyone to do that from the stock XBONE system because THEY MIGHT HACK THE SAVE.
Also, I find it odd how these sort of issues only begun to pop up here and there when the Xbox One came out and the cloud system was semi-forced upon all players. Backing up my point, hit cancel as soon as possible.
Then usage is forced upon everyone who cannot hit cancel fast enough. The concept remains the same…
Also, around a year back with Forza Horizon 2, people were saying “I let my game sync and it’s stuck at 99% now my save is gone”. I don’t want to risk that happening to me with neither Horizon 2 nor 3, so I’ve done what I’ve always done and it has never affected me negatively. I guess it depends on the user. Especially so, seeing how the cause has switched from letting it sync to not letting it sync.
It’s usage isn’t forced down peoples throats. It’s for online gaming. If you don’t want to use it, don’t play your games online. Reasons for corruption from syncing are going online and allowing it to sync over your offline play. That’s not Microsoft, PGs, or T10s issue. That’s yours. Learn how to properly manage non-hard drive data before acting like you know something. Chances are the saves that were stuck at 99% were cancelled due to impatience. The last bit takes a bit of time. Just like most downloads.
I played Horizon 2 offline for six months straight in 2016, so not only am I accustomed to hitting cancel, it is a necessity. Who are you trying to lecture here? I am not the one who has these problems.
And if it isn’t forced, why does it pop up every time someone starts the game while connected to XBL? That’s forced. I don’t understand your point?
As far as bugs go, I am onto bigger things. Namely the defunct drivatar lineup issue.
thats true but i was just to lazy i guess but i didnt know i had already reached the limit and still 37k is a pathetic amount to give for a horizon edition when the pc players get millions lol also why not let my game sync? if it dosent sync i dont have my save
That has got to be the most rotten luck, what a way to find out you reached your garage limit.
I never win HE cars from wheelspins and this would be my luck too. Though I doubt I will let. U garage get that big and may go and delete some cars I don’t use if I’m over 300
As others have said, get rid of some unwanted cars to clear some room in your garage so that the game will give you the HE car instead of credits. Regarding the HE vehicles, most of the HEs available from wheel spins will go for less than 500,000 credits(most of these should fall between 200,000-350,000 credits) in the auction house so you could buy them when you save up your credits. The Ford GT and Toyota Supra HEs go for more credits, but it would still be a decent amount for you to save up.
The HEs that go for at least 3 million credits if not more are the ones that were in the wheel spins for only 2 weeks at launch and haven’t been Forzathon rewards. These can be spotted by having XP or Skills boost on them. An example of said HE is the Huracan HE which I had to pay the buyout amount to get. The Forzathon only HEs go for around the GT HE price if you missed out on those. The most expensive HE vehicle in the 2013 Ram Ram Runner HE which can easily go for beyond the normal 5.5 million buyout for these reasons:
The Ram Runner HE has never been in the wheel spin rotation.
It has never been a Forzathon reward.
It has never been a gift car handout.
The only way to earn this HE is to buy Blizzard Mountain and get the Going Supernova achievement for getting all 160 stars at the mountain which only about .42% of the community earned.
While the Ram Runner HE can be driven by anyone regardless of DLC ownership, those without the DLC would have to compete in auctions for this HE. There would be more of any given limited run wheel spin XP or Skills boost HE model than the Ram Runner HE.
That is kind of a false stat because if you earned your 160th star in online co-op you would end up getting 2 cars, one upon completing the event and another when you returned to solo. So there will be more in circulation than that achievement completion stat would lead you to believe.
I’m not home to check right now, but I would suggest some of the Forzathon prize HE cars are rarer. The Raptor was for example, until it was obtainable from a simple task recently. The Brat will probably be in that category too.
