I think I’m being a bit thick, but I can’t seem to change the distances from KM to miles on the GPS
My Speedo is showing MPH but my directions etc are still in KM and meters. What am I missing please?
If I remember rightly, the default setting is metres for distances but miles per hour for speeds. In the settings, somewhere, is the option to change it. I’m not in the game right now but I do remember seeing it before.
You can go for entirely Napoleonic with its daft multiples of ten or entirely Imperial, with its much more sensible multiples.
Settings → HUD and Gameplay → Units
You should be able to go to either full metric or full Murica system. I believe what SpirantCanyon said about the default settings is correct.
Hey, they didn’t invent that system! We did! They then insisted on breaking bits of it (volumes).
So we have:
Imperial units - sensible system.
Murica units - broken sensible system.
Napoleonic units - silly system.
nota bene - had the Romans been more successful in persuading everyone that multiples of ten were good maybe I could live with it but it clearly upset a lot of Huns and Goths and so on
