Homestead Miami Speedway

It was only this past weekend that I realized the significance of Homestead Miami Speedway - it is the last circuit on the NASCAR Sprint Cup series! That makes two significant NASCAR circuits in the game: 1) The first circuit on the NASCAR Spring Cup series, Daytona International Speedway, and 2) Homestead Miami Speedway, the last circuit. An education in Motorsports for sure.

Indy oval is arguably the 2nd most important track on nascar. Generally it’s Daytona, indy oval, the 600 mile endurance race (longest race of year) at Charlotte, and darlington that are the crown jewel tracks drivers want to win.

If a driver wins those races it will make the year extra sweet no matter how the season turns out.

Homestead may make it to that level of desire, but generally it’s only important for those who make it to the last 4 in the chase.

Thanks mate! The NASCAR racing in FM6 is truly an epic event too…glad to know the significance of these circuits in the game and would like to see some mere relevant NASCAR tracks added for FM7.

There is also Watkins Glenn, Road America xfinity series races there and of course Sanoma. Road Atlanta is on the NASCAR K&N Pro series as is Sonoma and VIR. Not as big as the others mentioned in the earlier posts but on the NASCAR schedules and I am sure the other series us one or more of the same tracks. Then there are also IMSA Weathertech, Continental Tires, Mazda Prototypes, Porsche GT3, SuperTrofeo and Ferrari Challenge that all use one or more of the same tracks. Seabring hosts the 12hrs for IMSA after the 24hrs at Daytona but oddly no NASCAR sanctioned events or series. NASCAR has had time trials there in the past. There was I believe an NASCAR exhibition event at the COTA but no big races. F1 and other series race there though.

What makes me laugh is it’s part of the NASCAR expansion, and the 400 starts late in the day and runs into the night. The majority of the race is run at night. What variants are in FM6? Daytime and rain. >.>

Forza also doesn’t support staggered tuning setups, which is like putting in F1 cars but leaving out tire compound options, on-the-fly brake bias adjustments and fuel mix, DRS, and KERS. OH WAIT.

I wish they would just give out this and VIR at this point. I have them but it would be nice for them to be in all the rotations. I don’t care if you give it for free, I won’t complain. It would be better to actually use them. Track additions should at least be available without the cars for a cheap price at the onset.
