Mostly what I think too, 4 and 5 easily sit bottom of my list for the series but either could be above/below the other, 5’s not completely without merit vs 4.
I’ve spent lots of time in Tour trying cars I might never have done which 4 doesn’t have, I prefer the change in driving physics in 5 (although that is something both games do better than the first 3 games) and online modes have been much more stable for me compared to 4, I don’t do the Trial or seasonal PG with a worry about a disconnection coming from nowhere being at the back of my mind anymore.
It would be 2023 by the time I’d finish if I did a full comparison and explained why I think they’re as bad as each other though.
This is why I completely laugh when someone calls FH or FM (in any form) closer to being a sim than arcade. The physics breaking setups are a blight on what could be a good game.
I just hope every car doesn’t feel compelled to spin out instantly like they do in Motorsport 7, because jumping from Motorsport 4 straight into Motorsport 7 just felt awful.
F shop changes tomorrow again. Hope for interesting deals.
If you want to gift, do that first, then get one for self. I discovered buy for self, cannot gift.
Is it a 24 hour limit on gifting these shop-vehicles ?
I couldn’t gift my Son the Jaguar or the Ferrari earlier. He hasn’t either vehicle in his collection.
Do I wait until later ?
Somebody was mentioning don’t buy for yourself first as it counts as a “gift” and then you can’t actually gift to anyone else. And of course iirc (and you probably are) you need to do the gifting magic through the Wonderland entry to the FS or friends don’t show up/gifting isn’t an option for some… “reasons”… and for similar “reasons” said gifts can only be collected through the nearby “Gift” icon on the map… joy, it’s almost over
I thought I’d seen some comment to that effect somewhere, and of the two I gifted to a friend the one that was “delivered” but never arrived was that route. But who knows, it could just be random bugs.
Would have been nice to see the SVJ and 20 GTR in the shop for Christmas and new years rather than wheelspin cars, or at least in addition to them. Particularly unappealing (or completely negative?) to continue having autoshow cars for special occasions let alone weekly. Hmm. In 4 the Portofino is 100 points this week if anyone’s curious.
