I bought “Forza 5” as a continuation of “Forza 4” for drifting purposes, now i dont know if its the cloud server or the game mechanics and how its tied to “UPLOAD / Game DVR”.
But no matter if i am in test mode while upgrading / tuning car, or in rivals mode i get pretty much constant interfearance with what appears to be lag / glitch issue’s.
Under normal circumstances i would not complain, but the whole reason i bought this game was to drift…
Now while i am well aware of road surfaces and other nuances / obstructions they are not whats hindering me, what i want to know is am i alone or is anyone else getting this issue.
Also Prague the cobbled section heading under bridge / tower by BMW wallside banners (drifting certain spot) i havent seen any raises in the track surface there, but the back end of my Mercades C63 AMG must have kicked its back end 2 foot off the deck. And if its not a ramp of sorts i know not of any ridge that could do that.
Anyone else noticed this on Prague “Full Reverse”.
If it is at all helpful, there was at least one other person who claimed to be experiencing the exact same issue though we had to part company with them over some unfortunate circumstances. Oddly enough, they had a gamertag which is nearly identical to yours but surely you would have no knowledge of who they might be as you joined shortly after that other individual was permanently banned.
Do a connection test in the ntwork settings of the xbone and post your ping, upload and download speed. I am thinking its your connection vs the cloud.Try turning off the game DVR too.
Also, if you haven’t already, run a wired connection instead of WiFi. As well limit the activity of other devices connected to the internet. For example make sure nobody is streaming or gaming or using torrents while you are playing.
This was recorded using a Hauppauge HDPVR2, so what is shown in the video (baring it been 30fps on YT), is exactly what I see while drifting/racing in forza. I haven’t noticed what you are on about with this “lag”, and the lack of complaints about it means it must be something odd happening on your end. There is either an issue with you internet connection, but I dont see how that would affect you in tuning/testdrive modes. Or there is something wrong with your Xbox one. If you havnt done so then turn off the X1’s “instant on” mode, as this can help with a few issues across the system itself, and the games on it. Also check all your cables for the X1 and going to the display you use, you may have a loose HDMI cable that is messing up the signal to your display. Check your tv’s settings, turn off any post processing enhancements that your display may use. If your display has a “gaming” mode, turn it on. If none of that helps then you need to contact Xbox support, as this probably isn’t a fault with the game, otherwise more people would be on here complaining about it.
I would usually have assumed that its POSSIBLY the XB1, but based on the fact every other game works fine.
I dont see how thats the case, because as a few have said about upload causing an issue at certain points and being as rivals is technicaly via cloud server and so is tune section how else do you think it tracks speeds / times per lap and updates your lap times for rivals when your testing your car if you have improved your lap time while tuning ?
And as i have also tested this on 3 different internet connections 2 of which are virgin media but in two different places 3rd is BT internet also an alternative place, i have also contacted xbox live they apparently also didnt find any problems or other reports.
What i dont get is this is the only game i have problems with asides BF4 but i think everyone is getting problems with, well almost everyone and as for the other dude with the seemingly similar name

As for my issue’s i can assure you there very real or i would not have wasted my time on the phone or posting here asking for help, and before you say anything else i have turned off upload infact i have uninstalled the components i can and turned off settings in game in an attempt to cure the issue it still didnt work.
So if its not my internet which (i know for a fact its not) 3 different connections prove it, if its supposedly not the game (but yet my console works fine with every other game) what is it ?
