Help a brother out--need 2 HE cars for photo completion

Greetings, fellow Forza Horizon players. I hope all is well with you in whatever part of the world you’re in.

As the subject line states, I’m missing two cars. They are:

–1993 Jaguar XJ220 HORIZON EDITION
–2014 Ford FPV LIMITED EDITION PURSUIT UTE HORIZON EDITION

I’ve tried purchasing both in the AH, but no luck. I’ve also tried driving similar cars around the open world in the hopes of one of them popping up, but no dice. If anyone has a tip to getting a photo op with these cars, please let me know. If someone out there has the cars and has the time to set up a bucket list challenge for me, that would be going above and beyond, and would be much appreciated.

Also, if you’re out there and you want to get together for some online co-op, feel free to reach out to me on XBL.

I’ll see you out on the road!

Noah “Kromax” Kromaksian

How do you know it’s those two cars? Is there a list? I’ll check to see if they’ve popped for me.

In the meantime I would choose the same category and run exhibition races until they pop.

There is a list, I can’t recall where to find it though.

Yup, there’s a list. It’s on the “Progress” tab, all the way to the right where it says “Horizon Promo.” It shows which cars have been photographed and which ones haven’t.

No way! Thanks!

Anyway yeah, I’d just run races in like-themed cars. I’ll try it myself.

ETA: The other guy’s suggestion is way better. Bravo!

It’s at menu->progress->forza promo pics then you can filter the ones you don’t have taken a picture of

I suggest blue-printing a race so that only those cars, along with whatever you have that is comparable, appear for the race.

I was going to suggest this also.

This.

When selecting the car type, the furthest right tab is up to 50 specific cars. The key here is

  1. also select a car that you own, so you can actually do the race
  2. depending on how many you need to photograph pick cars in the same PI range.

I used this trick to get my last couple and if I picked an S1, S2, and D cars that I was missing, and then an S1 car for myself, the S2 would be too high and wouldn’t show up, and the D would be too low and wouldn’t show up. I also had a lot of D class cars to photograph, and as D has such a huge PI range (100-500) you should try to narrow by a range. So if you need in the 400 range, pick 400s, if you need in the 100 range, pick 100s. The AI will tune their cars to compete but that only goes so far, and if you have more than 12 cars selected in a 12 car race, some will miss out.

Wow, thanks for the suggestion. It worked to a tee! I created versions of both cars so that the overall ratings matched the HE versions, and set up races to match. I got them both.

Once again, the Forza community comes through for a fellow gamer. I appreciate it!

LOL - love the title of the post !!! Very funny !
