Man, what a toss up though! On one hand the car looks so damn good that I’d want to paint the other side. I did get a ting of disappointment when I saw the flat black on the opposite side of the car. On the other hand though, the whole Jekyll and Hyde thing is such a cool concept. You could walk up to the black side and be completely unaware of what’s on the other side. I can’t decide which is cooler, the whole car being painted or the split-personality.
Hmmm… tough one.
Either way though, cracking car. Shame there isn’t a 318ti in Forza 5 as I’d love to have that design sitting in my Forza garage.
That is one badass BMW E36. Love the way it’s half painted as art car and not 100% painted.
Nice to see someone who still is a little bit of a kid inside.
To answer the question, I would not do this to my own car because I can’t do it. And it does not suit every car.
Love seeing stuff like this. It’s rare to see it done so well too. Every car I’ve owned I’ve painted or plasti dipped all sorts of different parts. Mainly a mazda miata haha Never anything like this though! It would be so hard for me to paint a BMW. Kudos man!
P.s forza needs matte paint!!!

Please and thank you!
Rare car good build excellent story i just don’t get the paint? what do you call it automotive expression ? if i was to paint my car like that then people would think i had gone mad.
Ive been searching around , and im sure this is not the place to ask my question. Im not new to Forza but very new to the forums. Where would someone actually submit for their personal vehicle to be shown in HMA? Sorry and Thank You

That’s awesome! I totally understand where you’re coming from. It was something that I definitely grew up doing as well. Thanks for your comment
Thank you very much, definitely stay tuned!
Thank you very much, sir! Much appreciated, and I wish it’d be next to other art cars
I believe that as well, no matter if its painted or just cleanly taken care of, it definitely reflects the owner of the car. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
It was very fun to go down town and sort of break up the mold of the usual crowd,
OMG you just made my day! You totally get how the car served as a DD and as a track ready machine. I didn’t plan it that way, but plans change and you adjust. Thank you very much, and 1+ I would love to see the 323ti or 318ti make into forza, it would make a great swap candidate or a lower class entry level hot hatch!s
Haha! Thanks so much, I’m definitely very young at heart and love to do new things. If I were to do this to another car, it would definitely change as well
Thanks so much!
Thank you very much!
You’ve got the right idea
Yeah I had that idea too but I had to let it go that it is a BMW
Good question, the paint had more to do with the art car movement and wanting to do something similar to blend my love for art and motorsports. Forza is all about automotive expression through tuning, racing, designing, and photographing. This was just my way of bringing it to life
Yes! So this would be a 330ti
Check out Johniwanna’s facebook or the HMA page on facebook, just for starters. Or the community subforum
thank you very much, I appreciate all of the comments here, keep em coming!
It’s nice to see a designer/artist being mentioned in the HMA thread. It’s such a creative, unique design and could really pass as one of the BMW art cars! (This is just comes down to personal opinion) but the only tiny criticism I have is I really would have liked to see the colour’s blended together a bit more( like the blue gradient on the side door).
And I know it would be expensive but how cool would it be to see a racing body kit on this car, I think it would look amazing. very brave of you to do this to your car but I think all that work has definitely paid off.
Thank you for the comments, I do agree the blending wasn’t my best work, and it wasn’t an ideal surface to begin with, but I did go back over it multiple times and it was the best I could do outdoors. If I could afford a widebody makeover I would definitely have to dedicate this car to the track. I would love to
Awesome Paint Job!.. Came out very nice! Probably helped improve you’re Vehicle Painting Skill’s!
I have a “95 BMW 325i” i can soon work with, but in time when i have the right work space & tool’s!.. i was also planning to do a paint job to it, but nothing to serious, cause then i’d be getting pulled over 24/7! LoL!!!.. Right now the Stereo doesn’t even work cause of a key/pass code/security thing going on with it, i have all the paper work & will have to get that right code. it’s driving me insane in that car without the stereo! I Think i just have to call BMW & tell them the proper title #'s & they will throw me the code? not sure but i have to get it working or upgraded ASAP… seem’s like such an easy problem to fix & the book’s are all there but nothing or any number’s i see with it work with that stereo, Bleh…
Great Photo’s & Article!

Gift if possible?: FM5 CR. Or if a “Gift Car” Is Possible A “1976 Mclaren #11 M23” I Could really use right about now!
The big question is, will you keep this car forever or will you sell it and start over with a different car?
And if you keep it, will you use it as your first ride or will you buy another car to use as your first ride and use this for special events like shows and having fun in the weekend?
Been a while since I have been around these parts, looks like its time to settle back in here. Another great read Johnny, good to see things going so well here!
