I always enjoy seeing cars that stand out from other everyday grey, red or blue cars…we need something to get our attention to see someone who cares enough to get seen. And I bet you have a smile on your face when you drive it and see all those heads turning to look at your car.

I really liked the story of how this guy express his creativity in his car, which I really like since I’m a fan of BMW and did a good job with the paint. Ahhhh someone get’s it :D, the two-face design sort of came about on it’s own, when I realized it had one, I felt better about leaving half of it unpainted. I actually wrote a separate article for a design class I took while I was in school called ‘Cars as Canvas’. You’re reading my mind!

Trust me, I made a huge mess. It was definitely worth it. I remember the first day I took it out, SO MANY LOOKS! When I look around, I see some people being expressive with how they drive and their courtesy on the road. I notice the little things too, I think if there were art cars everywhere we’d all wreck on the road from rubber necking too hard LOL
John IS THE MAN. He did a fabulous job with the feature, and I couldn’t be more humbled than I am about the build. In terms of owning a cool car the, 318ti is sort of seen as the ugly duckling when it comes to the E36 community. A lot guys just don’t like it, for the exact reasons that I love it.

Stick figures have their place in the world, without them the world would be a much different place. This is my second 318ti, mainly a weekender. I drive it more days now than I’d like to. Haha I think your kids would sneak out in it and pick up their friends

Ha you’re on the right track, and the MINE’S Skyline is legit choice. When I started, my goal wasn’t to get seen or to gain popularity, but it was to just see how I can paint the highway visually and get some people in my local town to think outside the box

That’s alright, I can appreciate that. I can only work with what I have, I’m sure if I had a M3 or an M5 I’d probably focus a bit more on keeping the value up and the maintenance top notch. What car would you choose to go with had this been your project?

Thank you A55A551N, it took about 4-5 weeks, each panel done individually starting from the front to the rear. I am very happy with the results as well!

good question… probably have to say a 3rd gen vw type 2 camper but if i had to stay in the bmw family i’d go with e36 325 or 325i just cuz they’re so blah and could use a little spice like what you created. my issue is 100% personal… i’ve got a thing for the ti and have been on again off again looking for one for a few years but they’re practically unpossible to find let alone find in good condition.
It looks awesome makes me jealous of your painting and art skills. I will no longer see decals the same way as i did. This is such a nice project, keep it up ACEMAFIA!! Thanks for sharing with us johniwanna!

Now this is an articlel I really can say I am close to in spirit. I love cars and I especially love art as I am a tattooist, more of a hobby now since I didn’t enjoy shop life politics. I been painting, drawing you name it for the past 30 years start at age 5. I wish and maybe one day if not on my dream cars or should say affordable dream cars (70’ Chevelle, 69’ Beaumont) do something artistic too. Best article by far for me! Huge Thanks for last Unicorns! I love the creativity of people. I find it awesome how a car can show the personality of people through art/painting . It’s amazing. I personally wouldn’t paint my car simply because I’m not very good at art and I wouldn’t want to make a mess. I just enjoy seeing other people’s creativity.

If I was at all artistic I would love to have a design on a car I own. I don’t know if I would ever do it to my DD, but it would be cool to zip around town sometimes in an eye-catching car. Again, I am not artistic so I would never actually be able to do this which is why I think I appreciate this type of thing so much.
