So i have about 4mil i can blow on a car an i have been looking at ferrari p330 or what ever, a mclaren f1 or auction house f1 gt. Possibly an enzo or 288 gto. I have a zonda, a veneeno, a 250 gto, both shelby’s, a 918 spyder, a 599xx, fxx k, la ferrari Im looking for both speed and handling like most of the cars i own above for point to point races. What can u guys recomend to buy first and why? Is there a better car in my budget i didn’t list?? Suggestions please
I don’t have a lot of hypercars, mostly because most of them are only good at straight line speed, rather than racing, I also find that they are now devalued, since any car with the Aventador V12 swap will blow them out of the water. But otherwise I found the Koenigsegg Agera to be a pretty solid Hypercar without too much wheelspin or handling problems, plus it comes with a magnificent roof box which is handy for trips to the beach. xD I have bought both of the McLaren F1’s and tbh I found both of them to be pretty sluggish without upgrades, it seems as though they got nerfed to make the newer McLaren’s and supercars more superior. I also have the Hennessey Venom, it’s really powerful and fast but it has pretty bad handling stock due to copious wheelspin. The Saleen S7 can be maxed out to just over 900 bhp, but there is still much faster stuff out there, which sucks. I can’t believe I’ve been playing this game for four months now, I’m over rank 560 and I still don’t have an Enzo or a Shelby Cobra.
Four months isnt that long. Right now im out on disability from knee surgery so forza is pretty much all i have been doing. I think my total winings says 175 mil on the loading screen and i got the early release ultimate addition. So i have been playing a while. Re: the agera…i never really considered it because i dont like the 1:1 or the regera at all. Due to wheel spin and just all out craziness i dont really like the venom or the newer mclaren p1. Out of curiosity which mclaren f1 did u like better, even with upgrades?
I’ve only upgraded the small F1, but I like the longtail better, mostly because it looks like a pure bred circuit monster. 5.5 million credits though, it took me a few trips to the Goliath to buy this one. I’d imagine it would behave similarly to the standard F1, only maybe lighter and more maneuverable with the added aerodynamics.
EDIT: Just, maxed out my Longtail, 970 PI, 971 hp, 2,300 lbs, top speed of 267 mph. Even though I slapped on some aero parts soon after, the rear wheels take a while to calm down. But the Longtail has more power, and is lighter, but the small F1 still has a better top speed.
So does the small one handle worse but with less wheelspin?
I do notice a bit more understeer with the small one, but I don’t find the handling characteristics of both of them to be largely differrent. But the small one does not spin in 2nd gear like the Longtail does. I think it all comes down to what car you like the look of. If you think the Longtail is kinda ugly, then the small F1 is 3.5m credits cheaper and has similar enough performance. I also gave my Longtail the same downforce levels as the small F1 and the top speeds are almost identical, at about 247-248 mph
the Enzo or the 288, it doesn’t matter because you really cant go wrong with either of the 2.
I’d go for the 288. Purely as it’s something a bit different to the others you’ve mentioned plus it’s a beast when you’ve had a play with the set up.
How about a race oriented car such as the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR? 2 Million credits, not including the price of upgrades.
I endded up going with th f1 and the 288 gto. Im a little un impressed with f1. The 288 is nice and would be very nice with the right tune. Are the f1 and merc clk gtr pretty much the same in this game? I always liked the merc.
Anyone have some good setup/tuning tips for the 288 gto? Would it be better in a or s1 class? I like my cars to handle as well as possible and gear the tranny for a good top speed.
