GTA Hot Wheels like DLC (2016)

Am I the only one who think the 2016 «Cunning Stunts» GTA DLC was funnier than the multiplayer races in the current Hot Wheels DLC ? I mean, they’re basically the same: ramps, loopings, jumps … But this was so much funnier in GTA. Some tracks were really well designed, with insane shortcuts that were really difficult to take. And there was a specific way to drive in spirals and loopings to increase speed, this was very rewarding for good players.
In Hot Wheels multiplayer races, there is no really tricky tracks with difficult jumps, you can’t really fall from the track. The sprints are too short to catch up when you start from the end of the grid. The only good thing is that wallriding is really punished.

In fact I realize that I had more fun playing GTA multiplayer races (not only the cunning stunts ones), despite all the issues (goofy physics, toxic community, …). There was a real lobby system implemented and you could actually vote fort he next track, end the host was able to select laps count and other settings. And there was a text chat. The common point between FH and GTA are the endless waiting times.

The original Cunning Stunts tracks were a bit lacking design-wise but generally I agree. GTA physics are more fitted towards these kind of races/tracks and the route creator is far superior to H5’s.

With mid-air steering in GTA you could take insane lines out of tubes shortcutting tracks while getting the most out of tube/jump boosting and kerb boosting required more skill than racing in Horizon HW.

The underlying ForzaTech engine can’t compete with that.

Slipstream and Catch-up were a nightmare though.
