**GSW/TMers Challenge** A Class AWD**

not sure if i made it in on time but just in case…

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
Tune: GSW

if i didnt make it in time its cool. I’ll try to be a bit more on the ball next time around.

@Spoiled Jamie – Very nice ZO6, I gave up too early. No Aero and race compound resulted in more grip than what I was trying! I couldn’t tell it didn’t have any aero except it looks WAY better clean and stock. I think it was faster around the Carousel at Road America than any of my cars. Just a touch of over-steer to make it fast and nicely matched gearing. I suspect the close 5/6 was to compensate for the different tracks. Ran a 2:20.410 at Road America in 5 laps which is about where I was running my Escort tonight. The Escort has seen 2:18 and the Daytona has seen 2:16.1 chasing Krawler’s Ghost but I was off this evening so 2:20.4 is respectable.

Thanks for the review Crash.

Yes the gearing was adjusted to try and match all of the tracks. Like I had stated in an early post of mine, I knew that it was not going to be the best at top speed. In my testing the Z06 I was able to hit 160 or close to it at each of the courses for this competition. Rather than just shoot for one or two tracks I tried show that the car was universal. For Road America and the Carousel the car will hold around 100 mph in that turn, and you should be able to go through the kink at about 125 to 130 mph depending upon the drivers set up for that turn. I was more surprised at how the car went through Sebring club.

I’ll get mine up in the next couple of hours. Haven’t had a lot of time to play this week.

I finally got mine shared. Keyword: AWD Challenge. Sorry for the last minute entry.

it is ???

Should be. Let me check again.

Just checked and when I search for AWD Challenge, it came right up.

I think he means what car is it?

Gotcha. It’s the 2014 Civic Si.

I’ll be up to see if i cant make something for this.

One quick note. Due to my trying to remain with a no aero tune with this competition. I did build an aero tune, however it is not on the 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. It is on the 1977 Pontiac Trans AM. It is a 4WD tune, and it is a very versatile tune. It does retain the full stock appearance. Please give it ago if anyone has time or if you just like the different type of cars to show up in lobbies with.

I repeat this is not the car that I have entered in for this competition. Thank you.

Class: A

Car: 1977 Pontiac Trans AM

Name of Shared tune: A700 Aero

hello late entry please , how to find my tune keywords are GRIP & BEST FOR HANDLING and my description is ( Allwheel tune compition) sorry about the spelling , Car is 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth thank you

the name of the tune is heater2

@SPO1LED JAM1E - Challenge ACCEPTED! I’ve been beating on the '77 since I got the game. Standby for the Super Chicken.

Edit: Errr NO - that is a pretty sweet tune and I don’t need to spend the weekend making another AWD Trans Am. I used to run the same caster setting but got away from it - wouldn’t you know my test build picked up a second once I put it on. Running ~1.5 seconds behind the Z06 but still 4 seconds ahead of the rough '77 test tune I had left over.

You are right on with the ZO6 speeds. It was the 100+ Carousel speed that caught my attention, not to mention the ease at witch I ran one line all the way around. I was shooting for the same ballpark except that with less mechanical grip and a little aero grip my cars are running 94-98 mph around the Carousel and almost flat out between 130-134 mph through the kink. 158-162 mph into turn 5. If I could just get consistent on the last 3 turns lol.

I painted the Z06 50th Anniversary Red with some brass wheels and threw a license plate on it. Man it looks good! I know… I know… the Z06 was offered in 50th Anniversary Red but it’s a game and some day I may finally get that ragtop. I went for a few more joy rides and just missed setting a few new pd’s. The more I drive it the more I like it!

Excellent reviews SCH. I’m glad my little Scirocco was a bit of a handful for you lol, the idea was to build a nice and loose missile/semi-grip tune that could also handle the shorter tracks ok. Looks like I nailed the loose part, but not the handling part!

@SirChickenHeart - DOH! I knew it - That’s what I get for tuning the gears to my 1:09. You were probably fast enough to use 4th were I was in 3rd. The question remains is it just 5th at Sebring or am I too short across the board? I guess I’ll find out shortly. Thanks for the review and I’m glad that I took the chance and gave you the car I couldn’t run but was pretty sure you could.

I knew the Audi TT would be quick but a challenge to drive. Just so you know for the other guys it doesn’t get any easier on the other tracks either.

You know you can get more out of it but the laps mount up quickly.
