Goliath Goliath

Question, how much XP/Credits did you get? I’ve thought about doing a long race, but I don’t want to do a 3 hour race and only get 10,000 XP and 14,000 Credits

I’ve just now completed a 20 lap Goliath and even that was a gruelling experience! The rewards though more than made up for it. I went from level 355 to 418. 2.5 million credits. Also won 118 skill points. Using an XP HE car with credit perk and XP perk. Took 3 and a half hours.

I want to do the same thing !!
Do you have advices to give?

Word of caution to those who are thinking of trying ultra-long Goliath races: I just attempted a 14-lap race only to have my game freeze, then crash back to the Xbox dashboard on lap 13. I once completed a 20-lap race there, but even then I had some occasional stuttering from lap 15 onward. Until more patches are done, I’m only doing 10-lap races from here on, since I’ve had zero issues with those.

I’ve only been doing 5 lap Goliath’s and average about 600-700k CR and about the same in XP with Perks and using the Huracan HE car. Each lap is around 12 minutes, so each 5 lap chunk is about an hour.

When I did those 10 lap races using the same Huracan HE car you mentioned, I typically got just over 1.2m credits and around 1.7m XP with perks, but it could be because I do a lot of drifting. I generally average around 2 hours and 5 minutes for a 10 lap Goliath race.

Ok, just finished another 5 lapper (I don’t trust the game not to crash after all the graphic issues and lockups I’ve had on the Xbox)… and I had a drivatar come out of nowhere in on the beach and take 1st place. All my other 5 lappers, I usually have 1 drivatar who is on my tail the entire race (except at certain points) and I eek out a win by a few seconds.

I think 1st place would’ve gained maybe 10-20k in both XP & CR.

So, earned 758k XP, 572k CR and 45 Skill points. I consider myself a moderate drifter, but not especially drifty during Goliath.

I usually do 3-laps with a Jaguar Type 7 (AWD), 10:30 per lap getting about 300k XP. With 5 laps, that’d be about 250k difference! Maybe I should get that HE Huracán a chance.

Yesterday i tested something. I did the same race, with the same settings and perks with two different cars. The first race with the Nissan GTR HE Skill Boost and the second race with the Jaguar F-Type HE XP Boost. I raced two laps of Goliath and at the end …

Nissan GTR HE Skill Boost:
261.734 CR
263.004 XP

Jaguar F-Type HE XP Boost:
262.447 CR
287.033 XP

In my eyes the XP Boost cars are the better ones for fast leveling and a lot of money. With the wheelspins of these two races i got 2.5 mio CR and some cars. Aaaand the BMW M4 HE

Did you use The XP Bump perk? With that perk, the Skill Boost cars are actually better, especially if you do a lot of drifting. I personally use the Lamborghini Huracan HE Skill Boost and get on average just over 1.7 million XP for 10 Goliath laps.

I completed the 50 lap Goliath Race with the Ford GT Horizon Edition, took about 8 hours 30 mins but with several breaks. It earned me roughly 5 million XP, although could have gotten more if I used one of the skills boost cars. However, I did use all of the skill perks that I could. Also netted me around 10 million credits since I used the GT if I remember correctly. Not sure I can face doing that again though, think I’ll stick to 10 laps at a time!

How did you get the Goliath track to open? I am at level 5 at the Byron Bay Festival and still don’t see the Goliath track.

Also, I was told when you reach to level 5 at the Byron Bay Festival, the GRAND HIGH SPEED SPRINT track and the DiehardPlains56 track would open to use. I still see nothing once I got to level 5 at the Byron Bay Festival. Am I suppose to keep on racing and earn more XP points in order to open all those 3 tracks?

Thanks for any advice!

Got nothing on tomorrow so about to start a 50 lap Goliath… wish me luck haha

Nice Job, Alan. Great time too!
My game stutters a bit too much for me to do this, my luck it would freeze at seventh hour. I don’t think I could stand that amount of disappointment.

After my game froze on the 13th lap of a 14 lap race, there would be no way I would try 50 laps either.Congratulations, Alan!

Thanks guys, you’ll think I am a bit more insane too when I say I attempted it the day before only for it to crash around 7 hours in on lap 42 because I tried to change the radio station… lesson learnt for the 2nd attempt, I kept the radio off the whole way!

Just did 10 Laps of Goliath in the Ford GT Horizon Edition. Used both the Double Down and XP Bump perks.

~ 1 hour, 45 minutes to do

Rewards:

~1.8 Million CR

~885K XP (I leveled up 38 times, 289 → 327)

42 Skill Points

Self-Confidence

And from level-ups:

1,602,000 CR (total with VIP)

1990 Chevy Corvette ZR-1
Ferrari F12berlinetta (making it the second one I won)
Ferrari California
Audi RS 4
Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat
Toyota Corolla SR5
McLaren 650S Coupe
1997 Honda Civic Type-R

Given that I was using a Credit Boost car, and with level-ups still nearly matched the CR I won*, I’d wager it’s better to use an XP boost car (skills or not) as opposed to the CR booster, even if your goal is more Credits, not XP.

*I suppose I should clarify again that I have VIP, so if you don’t, you won’t get the kind of credits I did from level-ups.

For those of you wondering why you’re not getting as many credits as others, don’t forget Horizon Edition cards give you more and different assists boost your earnings when turned down/off.
As i did the 50 laps Nurburgring thing on Forza 3/4 i’ll probably try this at some point. If it’s around 8 hours it’ll be not much longer i think. Also who needs toilet breaks when you have all those empty red bull cans lying around… lol
