PRIZE: At the end of the Contest, the highest scoring design in accordance with the Judging Criteria (and as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion) will be appear in the Forza 6 video game and a “real life” version will be applied to an actual 2017 Ford Focus RS.
Yes, the person gets their design on the new Focus, we currently do not have the new Focus RS (could be dlc?), so the next best thing was used, and that is the 2013 Focus ST. I hope that answers your question as to why we got an older Focus rather than the new one.
This happened, whether it was on a 2013 or 2017 Focus is irrelevant as we did technically get a car with the winning livery on it.

i was a little mad when i saw the winning design because in the rules for the contest it said “You are free to use the built-in, pre-made forza and xbox logos, but any other copyrighted material is forbidden.” the car has an ign logo and a ford logo which are copyrighted and the ign wasnt pre built in forza. it was all so suppose to reperesent a decade of forza. i think it more of a forza 6 promotion than a decade of forza, but it won so who know.
