Garage space

How many vehicles are you allowed to have? In other words, what’s the maximum amount of cars can you have at once?

I’m currently at 489 and haven’t hit a limit yet.

Can’t remember exactly but it something like 550 or 600 in FM6.

You can have as many cars as there are available in the game, both now and the future once they stop doing the monthly packs and various gift and contest cars. That number will most likely exceed 600 this iteration.

This also does not include any cars you might purchase as second or third vehicles etc. I currently have 4 HQ Holden Monaros, 3 Plymouth Prowlers, 3 Holden Commordores, 4 Holden A9X’s, 3 transit vans etc etc.

Many gamers grab a few of the same and have them ready to race in different Class categories, or wearing various liveries etc so they can race in different lobbies or use them in repeated career races, so they experience the different cars on the same track in the same class etc.

So just keep grabbing what you want, treat it as a huge open garage lol…

Ty all

No probs, but here’s a tip for any forum, use proper English rather than text-speak or poor language etc.

People will understand easier, especially those where English is their second language, and you’ll get better responses.

No disrespect meant, simply a “tip” - ok…:+1::sunglasses:

Not that I’m offended, in-fact I’m all about the proper english. However, I’m communicating on the forums through my phone since my computer is without a motherboard atm. Call it an excuse, but since I also have “sore endurance race” hands, phone typing is something I want to make as quick as possible. Speaking of, I have 1 more endurance race to go… Indianapolis 250 here I come!

I understand fully mate, no probs, but hopefully other, iPad or similar and computer users will get the hint…

But do understand the restrictions of mobile phone use. Although, some of the newer larger mobiles these days have great type facilities don’t they. …

But, yep, understand fully… Happy enduroing mate, tried the Konnig on Indianapolis earlier, thing is as thirsty as a lizard on a hot rock, you get a max of 8 laps before you’re limping into the pits empty (bone dry)… That’s almost 9 pit stops, try staying ahead of the pac when they are pitting every 13-15 laps… Just insane…

Hmm I’m already counting 527 possible cars in my spreadsheet, that already includes the upcoming Ferrari 512 P but also some more rare gems like the december '66 Nissan, Dom’s Charger, the Battletoads Hellcat, the Pringles Mazda and all 10 year anniversary pre-order cars. Once I have the Ferrari I’m only missing 2 of those cars (Dom’s Charger and the Battletoads).

But, a cap of 600 is not enough, we still have 2 VIP car packs incoming (2x7 cars), most likely some extra free cars that come with updates as well, most likely a Porsche expansion which I assume will be 10 cars or more (Horizon already has near 10 Porsches and doesn’t even include race cars and LMP1), there is that Fallout 4 car as well and I assume once the 6 VIP car packs are out the door, T10 will want to grab some extra money with additional car packs as well, hopefully some accompanied by new tracks as well.

If the lifespan of Forza 6 needs to be 2 years then a garage cap of 600 cars is simply not okay.

Great to hear mate, have a question though…

If we eventually Aquire all the vehicles that will eventually be released in firza6, will there be room for added vehicles that we obtain as copies or done for various class racing or housing different liverie types where wheels and upgrades have been installed.

Will there be a"cap" on the number housed, or, will it be open-ended?

No - you can own a maximum of 600 cars at any one time in Forza 6 - to change this would cause issues with the games saves and has not been done in the past and is not likely to change until a new game comes along (with further refinements to the way our saves work).

So I just hit the garage limit last night and it really isn’t big enough. 600 cars sounds like a lot, but if you buy every car in the game you barely have any extra space for other cars, and once more DLC is out this’ll just get worse.

Honest question now: Why is there even a garage limit in Forza games? GT5 managed to avoid one (Or if it had one it was huge) and meant you could have over 1000 cars. And on a current gen console Forza can’t even get over 600? Am I missing something here?

It would be nice if T10 upped the limit to 750 or something at least, but I’m not going to get my hopes up…

That certainly would be nice, but like Mech posted, the limit is ‘currently’ 600 for the forseeable future, unless of course Turn10 has a rethink on the subject.

Especially seeing they are offering at least 2 additional packs that we know of, which will certainly go to at least another 14 cars.

The Top a Gear pack in April (7 cars), the Porsche Pack (number yet to be confirmed - ideally a minimum of 7 cars), as well as a few additional promotional cars such as recent Ferrari for the Can-Am tournament, the Aston Martin Vanquish mentioned in another thread, which is a promo 2016 Ford Gt car for New Zealand only, plus we have the last Car Pass pack in March of 7 cars, so that’s at least 25-26 cars.

Seeing we download the cars files to our hard drives on the Xbox One, and not stored on the cloud, I can’t see why the limit couldn’t be lifted to even 700…

That maybe because GT started out with over 1000 cars anyway so at least one garage space for each vehicle perhaps? But yeah probably not best to get your hopes up with any game feature lol

With all the duplicate race cars, 600 isn’t the worst limit to have, should be able to have almost all the cars if you stick to one version of the duplicates.

I just hope we see the limited greatly increased in future games when we could potentially see 800+ cars.

I reached 600 a couple of times. Then I sell all the indycars, supercars and e formula cars. But now I have again reach the limit. It’s so hard to separate from the cars, when you have them tuned. 600 seems not enough because I hope that porsche pack will have 30+ cars.

Half of GT’s cars were low poly models which meant less space to store.
I’m pretty sure the limits are because of cloud storage. Each game gets to use an allocated block of space to use as it pleases for saves and game data like replays etc. So each one has a limit to make sure nobody’s save gets too big. This is why people sometimes have to wait hours for their save to sync, as Forza saves are big by xbox standards, but still have to be limited to a certain size to avoid issues with transfer and space hogging.

700 Cars
How do I know this? on the Cars owned stats on Forza Rewards I have a friend that has exactly 700 Cars so my guess is that’s the Cap

Forza Rewards tracks the total amount of cars you’ve ever owned, not how many you currently own. My Forza Rewards tells me I have 650 cars, but I actually have 552.
