I came across this on another Xbox forum. I know it is delisted in the marketplace but does anyone know if having the code will allow you to still get it?

I went ahead and decided to try it – for science. I also saw Gamestop was still selling the Season Pass so I decided to go for that since it included the Rally Expansion at the same price.

  1. Went to GameStop and bought the Horizon Season Pass - http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/season-passes/forza-horizon-season-pass/116343

  2. Got code and redeemed via Xbox.com website.

  3. Went to Purchase History page and Season Pass was listed. Clicked on Add to Queue link. - Sign in to your Microsoft account

  4. Opened up Active Downloads on my 360 and the Season Pass downloaded.

  5. Opened up Horizon in Single Player mode and went to Marketplace.

  6. DLC was listed and was able to download Rally Expansion Pack. It’s currently downloading now. The other car packs, however, didn’t look like they were available.

Will post an update if I get the Forza Rewards for DLC once the next server update happens.

I got credited for 5/5 DLC purchases on Forza Rewards for picking up the season pass.

Been a couple of weeks now, have the 6 monthly car packs shown up yet?

I can’t buy it to find out because it only works with US addresses (and obviously US credit cards) and I don’t live in the US.

No the car packs still doesn’t work.
You can buy it with a prepaid gamestop gift card, which can be bought from ebay, but during the checkout from gamestop store you need US aadress (any dummy address works).

The only reason for me to even attempt to buy it would be to gain access to the monthly car packs as I already own the Rally Expansion.

Since they don’t work, there’s no point.

It’s disappointing that there are some achievements tied to DLC cars.

It’s also disappointing they de-listed the DLC only a couple of months after the game was available on Games with Gold.

It didn’t stop me from enjoying it, but it has left a sour taste in my mouth.

UPD: Got the code, activated, will try to download the content tonight.

Just ordered a Season Pass on gamestop, paid with PayPal using a fake US address (I live in Netherlands).
More than one hour later, still no code, just a confirmation email…
Did you receive yours instantly, or is it ok to wait?

I managed to install the Rally Expansion from season pass, but no luck with the car packs. Spent more than an hour chatting with xbox support, fruitless.

On a sidenote, I am also looking for a way to install a 1000 Club Expansion. I hear it was free and requires no license, but has been de-listed from marketplace just as well.

It seems like if someone dumps the expansion onto a usb stick, it could be installed onto other xboxes. Can someone please confirm or deny or try to do that with me?

I thought the same, but now I can confirm that putting it on a USB stick and then installing it to your console does not work (one kind person from r/forza bothered to actually upload the expansion so that people like me could try it out). You have to have the 1000 Club Expansion license associated with your account, if you would want to install it that way (or that expansion has to be installed on the machine by someone, who has the license tied to their account). At least this the conclusion I came to (no 1000 Club Expansion for me).

Thanks for letting me know. Sad news, but good to know all the same. I will resort to torturing the customer care until I get something or lose interest, lol.

Finally i found this thread and got the Horizon Rally thanks to GameStop. But is same thing for me here: I managed to install the Rally Expansion from season pass, but not the car packs.

The season pass is no longer listed but I was able to get the rally expansion. Thanks for the info! Now if only I had a PC that can run Apex…

I’m not 100% sure but I would bet that if you hit the GameStop website, the code you purchase would work in the U.K. I have bought codes from game.co.uk before and they worked fine for me in the US. If you decide to try it, make sure to post about the outcome so people can get the info.

I assume the code would work, I don’t have much in the way of doubt there. I’m curious as to how one would go about buying it in the first place though, since the site says you can only buy it in the US.

There are a couple of ways. One is to have a friend in the U.S. and use their address. Money could be transferred through paypal if needed. The other, and probably easiest, is to just buy a GameStop giftcard for a few bucks more than the cost of the code and then use that to buy the code. Problem solved. Let me know how it works out. I decided to bite the bullet and purchase it even though this Forum is 6+ months old. It still worked! It gave me the code instantly. I decided not to play around and just boot up my xbox 360 and redeem the code there. It recognized it instantly and is now currently downloading. I’m super happy right now. I guess I have to live with the fact that I can’t get the DLC Monthly cars or Season Pass. But having the Rally Car expansion at least makes me feel like the game is a bit more complete. So i’m happy.

I’ll still try to dig in to the DLC/Season pass to see if somehow it can still be purchased.

You can get the Season Pass the same way you got the Rally Expansion. You need to wait for a store to list it in stock really.

But the monthly packs cannot be obtained anymore. Owning the Season Pass you’ll be able to get exatcly what you got: the Rally Expansion.
It can be downloaded in-game by Season Pass owners by going to the marketplace in the central hub and downloading the Focus SVT (the bonus car of the Rally Expansion). It will start downloading the Rally Expansion.
(So yeah, today the Season Pass code and the Rally Expansion code will give the same thing)

The 1000 Club, which was always a free DLC, can be obtained only by playing on the Xbox One. It’s available there for some reason by either using the disc or owning the digital version of Forza Horizon.

Saw this thread and thought what the heck. Tried buying on my phone but site doesn’t show it in cart. Hopped on PC, added to cart and checked out. Code was presented on completed check out page. Received order email and another email simply linking back to website to retrieve the code.

So if you buy, write code down from website after you check out. It’s not in the email. I have only played horizon on Xbox one(tried on my 360 but fails to read the new disc I bought a couple months back). Entered code in the store and installed the expansion pack. It was a 66.1 MB download.

Just an update, play horizon on Xbox one (s&x), rally expansion download is 66.1MB, launched horizon, selected rally from main screen, played fine. A little different than basic horizon, doesn’t tally skills, or at least through first rally it didn’t. Did the initial trial run, then the first few stages and subsequent rally(appeared to link all stages together). Pretty fun. Quick 75 game score for what I did.

I had even played this, this time on an Xbox one s that I hadn’t played on before. No issue syncing my game save from cloud and playing the game.

Glad I found this post, horizon, the original, might be my favorite of the bunch, although the hotwheels expansion gives it a good run.
