I had it happen two weeks ago, so it was still an issue after the last series update. Don’t know if the update today had any effect, though.

This happened to me yesterday but I think it was because I drove to the location and then activated it from the location spot on the map. Once I got kicked, I realized that I usually don’t enter that way. I almost always enter from the Festival Playlist. So I opened that up, click on the Trial and got in that way without any issue at all. I don’t know if this is a solution but like I said, I’ve always used this method before without fail.
It’s happened to me three times now this month. And again just now. Looking for a solution. Restarting the game is a hastle. Ima just go outside and not play anymore today. Horizon Open - one race then sent back to freeroam in Mexico. sux.

I think it only is related to Quick Resume.
I generally do not use quick resume (in any game) and I never had this issue in any of the Trials.
Playing on XSX.
I had this issue 15 minutes after a fresh start of the game, without quick resume.
yeah, just had this happen to me again. three times in a row. after forza motorsport crashed while loading in a race i thought i’d had some fun in horizon 5 but no. new series x, not even a month old, those playstations are starting to look so good though.
Definitely still an issue as of last week. Continuous disconnects during Trial start countdown, during launch, during races & between races. Multiple comments & reports in the weekly Festival playlist thread.
This issue was fixed with the Series 30 content update on January 30th, 2024.
