Filters are not working to have a mix of cars.
Tried Mazda MX-5 family and only the 2016 populates (despite showing 4 available variations). Even designating each group a year range and or model does not work.
Also tried a Pony car mix (Camaro/Challenger/Mustang) to no avail…
While FM7 had it’s issues with custom bucket races, there was usually a workaround to get the specific cars desired (just un-modded), The new Motorsport custom races has less working features.
Can confirm I see this too. AI car selection in car groups is ignored, instead at the start of a race the AI cars are from the same division as the player car.
For example, my car is a 1965 Mustang GT Coupe in car group 1, and in car group 2 I’ve selected to race against a 2020 #73 LA Honda Civic. The Honda is replaced with a car from the Vintage Muscle division instead.
Additionally, the “Max Drivers” option in the car groups is being ignored. Instead the “Number of Drivatars” option is used and forces the groups to be equally populated. So, for example, having 1 car in group 1 and the rest in group 2 is not currently possible.
An issue for me too. Real life sports car (IMSA WEC etc.) racing is all about multi class racing and not being able to do that in the game is very annoying.
We are closing out this issue. The developers have noted this issue as Fixed as of Update 6 on 03.11.24
