I can not find any place that knows about it though. I just got an XONE and would like to get this to avoid downloading all the track updates. But, gamestop, target, and amazon does not have this release listed. Will it only show up in the system when the boxes are delivered? And, will it be in stores tomorrow or Wednesday?

Actually, availability is likely to be limited. Most retailers like to exhaust their remaining inventory of existing copies before placing GOTY editions on order and on the rack. Online retailers (such as Amazon) however, will usually allow you to pick the version you prefer. So, whether you can find one in the store is hit or miss.

Yes but it’s not a proper GOTY edition as it comes with such little DLC.
Exactly. I really so no point in buying this if you’re in the market for FM5. Just buy a used/new original retail copy for under 30 bucks and then go hog wild with a few DLC’s.

If it has the tracks on the disk, thats a large chunk there that makes it worth it.
The “Forza Motorsport 5: Game of the Year Edition” is headed to retailers worldwide this summer. For current Xbox One markets “Forza Motorsport 5: Game of the Year Edition” will be available as retail stores replenish their existing stock. New Xbox One markets launching this September will receive “Forza Motorsport 5: Game of the Year Edition” as their launch edition.

IGN reported that Forza 5 RGOTY was coming out on July 22nd, yet I have not seen it online or in stores after July 22nd. Was it delayed or…
Will this edition have all the car packs on the disc or just the updates?
I mean I’ve read IGN article which clearly says there will be only Top Gear car pack in it, but I’m hoping there would be more content than just one car pack and tracks (which are free to dl anyway).
Many places have reported 22 July as the release date yet no one has the game. It’s safe to say the information was either inaccurate or it was delayed, either way there hasn’t been an official comment towards it. I’d venture to say this game will have a silent launch. I think it will just show up unannounced. With the new markets getting it prepackaged I can see it launching in late August or September, far from when it was supposed to release. I highly doubt it has to do with “replenishing stock”. That excuse doesn’t add up. Developers don’t give a hard date and turn around and say “we decided to wait for no reason other than we want the current version to sell more copies”. That also implies the game is complete sitting in a warehouse collecting dust. I’ve stopped playing FM5 myself waiting for this version to release to get back into it. Hope it comes soon!

As stores sell out of what is on the shelves now, they will then restock with the GOTY edition, just like with Forza 3 Stig Edition. The street date may have come to pass, but stores will only put it out as they have the shelf space for it. Since it is the same Bar code.

No - it is only the track updates and the one car pack.
Did they say if they fixed the handling/grip I miss the Forza 4 grip and I can’t even play it anymore after my 360 keeps freezing no matter what I’ve tried it won’t get better but I can care less I’ve got an Xbox One.
It isn’t going to have any engine changes that will affect the handling/grip as that would make it a different game to what the rest of us have already. IF that happens it will be a patch and I seriously doubt it will change much if at all.
FYI, I’ve called about 100 stores and they all said they don’t secretly have it in stock. I knew that was a crock when I read it. Like I said, delayed.
They will need to sell what they have first - as if they would tell you they have them but can’t sell them until existing stock is gone (and if a large retailer they will have them sitting in the warehouse until the store sells out).
