Game controls stop working during session

I’m on PC using XB1 controller on a usb3 socket. I have customised controller layout.

When I start the game it works fine for a while but hen at some point (and nothing obvious indicates when) I become unable to access he pause menu, rewind, change radio stations and maybe some other things. This is true using the controller commands OR the pc keyboard keys for those things so it seems like it’s not just the controller mapping failing but he actual function itself. At this point the car still drives fine and I can still RS to activate races.

I have to close the game (from the windows task or task manager because I can’t get to the quit game option in the start menu). If I relaunch he game it works again for a bit but then fails again at some point. .

It’s really annoying. I can’t call the map to set Map targets, I can’t end rivals sessions except at the point it tells me I’ve beaten that rival. I can’t go and use my spins. It’s delibilitating.

Please fix.

I have this issue too. The only way I have found to fix is by running the game in windowed mode. That seems to fix it but if you go into full screen it will brake after a certain amount of time.

I second this. Xbox One Controller works in windowed mode but not in fullscreen.
This is very frustrating. I dont want to be in windowed mode for this game. Especially with my triple monitor setup.
This is the only game that it doesnt work with.

Scratch that, It doesnt even work in widowed mode.
It may work for a brief minute, but not more than that.
It is especially disappointing because it worked fine when I installed and played for 5 hours.
Only to turn on the game and it not work. I didnt change a thing in the Horizon settings or my pc.
Very confusing

I tried windowed mode. I still get the drop out of start menu etc. Thanks for suggesting it though.
