There’s nothing to “correct”, because painted spoiler was a possible spec for this car. At the very least, the carbon fiber engine bay was, and it’s possible the spoiler was part of the package since it’s mounted on top of the engine bay. In fact, even the wing itself was an option.
The reason Turn 10 scanned a car with painted wing and engine bay was simple: to allow people to paint these parts in the first place!
I would have liked to be able to paint the spoiler without losing the stripes, but none of the carbon paints available match the carbon fiber accents in the car itself, so I lost interest in “fixing” it.
I even made a replica of the Edizione Tecnica in FH3 but you can’t paint the front intakes either, so I deleted it.
But I never ever saw one with painted “big wing”. Even google hasn’t got a pic of one, to the limit I checked up.
The carbon fiber setup is the mainstream, so it would be nice to have it without losing the badges, or as you said, having to apply different shade of CF.
The “small wing” version I knew was an option, but it’s very, very rare.
Everybody wanted the CF Big Wing, so why not have it in game?
Minor thing, compared to other “need attention” stuff, but still, annoying.
Yes but according to an option brochure I’ve found online the high wing could be specced without the carbon fiber engine bay (which probably included the carbon fiber trim on the wing itself). They were independent options.
Tell you this, I have a design with the original badging and the carbon wing. Tell me what color you’d want and I can share that. Or you can easily do this yourself.
As previous mentioned, the decision to publish the car with a painted wing might just be as simple as to let people like myself do what I want with it.
