g27 force feedback feels off

i find the wheel support for g27 in this game to be off
usually when you over steer, the force feedback should counter steer the wheel, thats the way it is in other games e.g asseto ,
however it doesn’t happen in forza 7 pc (horizon 3 as well). I find that it is near impossible to maintain drifts because of this, i have tried different settings (both in game and external program) and tunes, nothing seems to work. Its the opposite for other people, their wheel actually counter steer by itself when they drift but they use a different wheel so it seems to be an issue with some specific wheels or pc port for wheel is just bad.

is anyone else experiencing the same?

There is a massive thread on FFB. Have a read.

I play Forza on a Logitech G920 and a Thrustmaster T300 RS, both on the PC. I also have a G27. Can you post up a screen cap of your Logitech profiler settings, and also post up an image of your in game force feedback settings.

trust me, i have tried every profiler settings and ingame ffb settings and nothing seems to work

Seriously just go to the FFB thread already. I’ll find a link.

First post explains in detail what forces relate to what settings.

Don’t use simulation steering either. Use normal.

Trust me, use EmuWheel.

I need to find the time to get on Discord to get help with setting it up.

Bindings are acting strange when I try to set them.

Assuming you have already installed Vjoy.

Use config program.

Go through the pulldown and set the buttons as you want. save config.
Make sure your wheel is muted to forza (use Hush).
Load FM7, rebind your axes and all your buttons under options - controller - input.
Profit.

Is there anything else beyond that? I saw a lot of settings in the WheelEmu menu, should any of that stuff be fiddled with?

Thanks.

Other than that, you can change the various FFB settings so that you can get the wheel to how you want it to react.
Magnitude is a multiplier. min/max are gain thresholds.
Spring/damper at the bottom leave as 0 unless you drift.

Too much vibration will interfere with your input. keep that in mind when playing around with the Sine values.

I feel like I get less feedback using EmuWheel. I don’t have any sensation while hitting curbs or walls and there’s a large dead zone in the center of my wheel (which causes me to saw the wheel on turns). I didn’t have these issue with the default force feedback. It’s also much harder to tell when I’m at maximum grip around a turn. It feels a little limp.

I must have something very wrong with my settings!

Something isnt right. Join the discord channel.

I will try to get in there sometime this weekend.

Yeah I worked through my issues and I have the wheel working in FM7 but no FFB at all.

I’ll need to come onto Discord when I can.

Did you end up joining?

After 3 days tinkering IMO, T10 need to start again with the wheel support. I have searched high and low to find a driving game where the functionality and user experience is worse so I can say at least it is better than… and I have failed miserably thus far.

I was busy with a Project Cars 2 race with one of my groups this weekend, so didn’t do much FM7 at all.

Will see how I go this week.

Can I get a link to the Discord channel you all are speaking about. I’m also having trouble with the g27
